How do i change the Timezone?

When i look at an item the timezone is set to AEDST.  However, I am in AEST (Brisbane) not AEDST.

It gets the time right in the lists but not the items; how do i fix that?

Maybe we should petition GMT to be aligned with FNQ perhaps.

If I am in Brisbane, and if vouchers expire in Sydney time, an hour earlier.. without telling you in advance.. you see nothing wrong with that?

In 2018?  If that's true you're all idiots, if you can't see that.  If ebay has found some way to account for this.. then.. nevermind.  It's a really simple thing.. honestly.

No need for 1000's of words of debates about it.

I find it really easy . . . . . . auction items, Buy-Now items listing promotions and eBay discount and ‘$ off’ vouchers on ebay.au have always been based on AEST and AEDST.

People in Queensland are not disadvantaged as the voucher is valid for the exact same amount of days/hours . . . . . . with them being available an hour earlier on Queensland ‘watch’ time.

Vouchers and offers normally end at 23.59 AEDST which means you only miss out if you leave it to the last hours/minutes to access the voucher.  Plan ahead, buy during daylight hours!

Yes it is simple - just buy a cheap alarm clock and set it for AEST (or AEDST), if you find it too hard to compensate for time differences across Australia.

Or move to the bright lights of NSW................................

If you believe that eBay doesn’t ‘tell you in advance’ then I have found an easy and workable solution for you . . . . . . READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS for every voucher you receive.  The end time of every offer/voucher is clearly stated in the T&Cs.

As for those who believe that this is not an issue in 2018 being idiots . . . . . . . well, we are idiots who can read!!!!!!!!

Spoiler
I must ask, who is the true idiot . . . . . . those that read T&Cs and use vouchers OR those who don’t bother reading T&Cs, miss out on vouchers and then come here with their panties in a knot whinging, whining and denigrating others?

padi, I feel for those in the West (not so much those in Qld) as they are now 3 hours behind AEDST.

As you know, I recently spent 7 or so weeks in the wonderful shout-west WA region and I did find the time difference a little hard to come to terms with seeing as I would often miss calling relatives/friends on the east coast because when I had finished dinner at 8pm WA time it was 10pm eastern time.

I only had to deal with this for 7 weeks, and I am sure that those who live in time zones that are always behind AEST find ways to deal with it, rather than Queenslanders who are only behind NSW time from Nov-April each year.

What I find hilarious is that South Australians are half an hour ahead of Qld now.  Time for Queenslanders to lobby for daylight savings in Queensland me thinks.

Spoiler
a lot of smart phones allow you to display multiple time zones on the home screen.  I know that at the moment Queensland are behind the rest of the east coast, but I think they do have smart phones in Queensland now, they aren’t that far behind
