I just got stung by a pair of fake Raybans. When I queried the seller about his obvious pre-loved fake "Rayban Clubmasters", he said he didn't know that they were fake & he paid full price for them. He wants me to send them back & refund me. Well, obviously I don't trust him, so I will leave it in the hands of the Paypal Resolution Centre. What irks me is the amount of sellers, who when I query if the item I'm looking at buying or bidding for, give me the "I don't know if it's genuine or not!" If they are not sure, why don't they state that? GRRRRRR ๐

Because often when they say "not sure", it means they know but don't want to say.
If you can get in writing from an authorised seller of Raybans that they are fake, you won't need to return and will most likely win the case. PayPal will ask you to destroy the item.

The seller can tell you anything they like. ( you have to go by what they tell you ) If it was from a Chinese seller, I will guarantee you now, that they are fakes. If it was from say the US, you will have to take what they tell you and you decide. They may or may not be ??? As mentioned, get them authorised ( I took a pair to a well know Retailer and they told me ) and do what you have to do. So sad that this goes on soooooooo many times. Ebay is RIFE with Fakes.

and a seller playing dumb or denying knowledge of items is not acceptable, it is up to the seller to know everything there is to know about a product they list.

And let's face it who would want to be seen dead in 'fake' Raybans.

Yep, I get full refund but have to send them back at my expense. They didn't care about them being fake, or ask for evidence. Ebay can kiss my **bleep**, they have lost a good customer ๐
