I have a problem with a listing

I have a problem with a listing - have contacted PayPal and Ebay by phone - no resolution. Also contacted overseas seller who replied that they do not ship to Canada or any other country. Listing includes posts to Australia and many other countries. Why is this listing on Ebay Australia?

Re: I have a problem with a listing

Then I bow to your knowledge.

That should explain it to the OP also.

Re: I have a problem with a listing

Thank you for your reply.

I have been an eBay member since 2006.

I have bought many items from international sellers - I understand how the listings work.

When I search on eBay Australia and see "found from eBay international sellers" I presume that they post to Australia, especially when all the details for postage to Australia are on their listing.

This company has many listings under "found from eBay international sellers" with all the same details on the listing I have mentioned.

I have never encountered this problem before.

I agree - if you cannot buy it you should not be able to see it!

Veronica, just between you and me, I think Kopes might be...............wrong oops.gif incorrect misinformed.

Spoiler
Maybe a bit too much warm sake  hiding.gif

If you can see it,  then you should be able to buy it.

Otherwise, the Global Shipping Program would have no-one to sell to.

It's the seller's Paypal USA stumbling block that's the problem.

When you contacted ebay, you probably got a Filipino reading from a screen and they probably didn't know what you really wanted.

They usually say anything to get you off the line.

Better option is to have ebay call you back.  That way you get an Aussie with an idea, at least.

Even ask for a supervisor if you have to.

Ha Ha Ha.

I agree - I will take your advice - surely all their similar listings should be deleted........

Many thanks,

Re: I have a problem with a listing

They won't delete them.

I'm hoping they will advise you on how to buy.

Or ask the seller to change their Paypal requirements.

But maybe it's ebay USA that should do that.   shrug.gif

Where are all the knowledgeable posters when ya need 'em?

Re: I have a problem with a listing

You say you cannot pay because of the US Paypal requirement.

Are you assuming the payment will not be accepted or have you actually tried to pay?

I would buy the item and follow the prompts to pay immediately as is required by the listing.....see what happens.

My original paypal account was a USA account (from before they had anything to do with ebay) but when ebay took them over it changed to paypal Australia.  It has always been a US company and whenever I have had to ring them I have always spoken to Americans even though the transactions have been through the Australian ebay/paypal sites.

Re: I have a problem with a listing

Problem is they don't sell Internationally at all.

I think we are both right, but it's not on the AU site.

By the looks of it the seller has not selected 'No International postage'

If they did that it will not show postage to other countries and a purchase can be made in some situations.

Then if the seller excludes the countries they don't post to as well, a buyer cannot bid or buy and in many situations not communicate either.

My guess is still with seller has not selected No Int. post but has selected requires verified PayPal which is often required for US buyers.

I've had many dealings with the USA site both as a buyer n seller. (Just so you know where the info is coming from)

And no sake this evening, just drove past your place stawks to go to airport n back. Smiley Happy

OP, in normal circumstances you don't see the listing even in the International section if the seller has set up the listing correctly.

You didn't wave Kopes  waving2.gif

Or toot the horn    Image result for smiley driving car animated    (Apologies for the road/railwayworks)

What about the GSP part of the listing though?

The listing is showing because ebay has opted the seller in?

Shouldn't they then have to conform?

Personally I reckon Veronica should give it a miss.

Seller has too many neuts and negs for my liking.   do not want.gif

Re: I have a problem with a listing

Well, came close. Went up Station st but then turned left at Bell St.

I definitely wouldn't bother with that seller either.

Probably the seller has been opted in without knowing it and I don't think the GSP would have shown if the seller had the listing set up properly for domestic only.

Best go before I turn into a pumpkin. Ciao until tomoz. Smiley Happy
