I inadvertently hit Buy it Now on an item that I was interested in.

How do I get this item removed? the seller has told me they cannot deliver to my postcode, so there is another reason to have the item taken off. What do I do??

Thanks.

That would be logical of the seller, lyndal, to just cancel if they can't deliver to that address.

If I were the buyer & the seller opened a UPI, I would just pay. That would bounce the responsibility back onto the seller.

I am trying to think of a reason the seller 'cannot' post to the address. Maybe it is from another country (although that doesn't sound like the case) or maybe the postage to the buyer's address would amount to more than was charged for in the ad. Or it is being delivered by a courier company that doesn't cover the area.

But payment would put the onus on the seller to deliver and if they could not do so without paying more, that would be their worry. If they had to cancel, or did not deliver the item, it would then affect their account.

Maybe the seller only said it because they were sick of  "I accidently bought" messages?

Otherwise it does seem odd they did not cancel due to problems with buyer's address (and that they did'nt already have blocks set up to prevent people in areas the can't ship to)

Unless they are a newish seller and don't know all the ins and outs

Or the address was not up to date at time of purchase

Or it was an accident

Seller may very well be sick of 'accidents'  or just this particular one - who knows.

And they may have made up the story about not being able to deliver to OP's address,

and have opened an unpaid case anyway.

We'll never know.
