I need help!

Hello everyone,

I'm somewhat new to eBay. Anyways, I've come to ask for some help. I've made a purchase on Ebay, but previously I withdrawn money from my bank and transferred to Paypal (Has not transferred yet, still "processing"). Can I pay my eBay item with my balance once my money has finished transferring? Sort of nervous as some of my money's disappeared from my bank account.

Simple answer is YES that's what PayPal is for.  You can even pay before it clears but its better to just wait.

Just email your seller and let them know your just waiting for the funds to show in your PayPal account that way there not wondering what's happening.

It only takes a couple days to show. If you go to your paypal account you should see it in there it will say something like pending. Or waiting for bank transfer.

So you've transferred the cost of the good to paypal? At the moment it is 'processing'? Perhaps your bank will not transfer the money till Monday. It sounds all okay. It sounds like you may have already paid but the sale is 'pending'. It will show on your seller's account as 'pending'. These things make you nervous the first time you use them. I think you should be all right.

If you have funds missing from your bank account I suggest you contact your bank or view your statement online and see if you can find what's happened if you cant find in your statement where it has gone contact your bank and let them know you have funds missing. Don't wait to do this do it asap.

Not to give any personal info out. It was an "Automatic Withdrawal" for my eBay item payment from my Bank account. Although I have withdrawn a majority of my money out to my paypal account?

If paypal has taken the money from your bank account it means that you have already paid for the item.  It is known as an e-cheque and will take several days to clear into the seller's account unless you have a credit card linked to your account.

There is no need to transfer funds into your paypal account to pay for anything, but as you have already done so you cn either leave the funds in paypal or transfer them back to your bank account.

There is no need to transfer money to your Paypal account before paying, if you just pay for the item then Paypal will automatically take the funds from your bank account.

If you have transferred money and then made the payment before the funds have cleared into your Paypal balance then Paypal will have taken the payment from your bank account which will show two payments to Paypal. the transfer will just show in your Paypal account as a positive balance and you can either withdraw it back to your bank account or leave it there to be used for your next purchase.

Well, the situation is that I deposited most of my funds to my paypal account. So I don't have money equivalent to the price of my ebay item in my bank account. So, can I like pay my ebay item using my transferred paypal balance?

I would advise not transferring anymore money.  It sounds to me like:

1) You transferred funds to your PP balance

2) PP ignored that and has taken a direct debit from your bank account

3) Or the funds you uploaded to PP hadn't actually transferred yet (it takes 2-3 days) so PP defaulted to an echeque (same result, they take it from your bank account)

So - essentially payment has been made, even though it shows as pending.  In 2-7 days it will clear.  The money you transferred to your PP can be withdrawn to your bank account by going into PP.  Or can be kept there for future purchases.

Wait till the transferred funds show in your PP account before you pay the seller now.

If you pay the seller now and the funds have not yet cleared to your PP account then PP will try and take the funds from your bank account.

Once the funds are in your PP account then the payment to the seller will come from those funds.
