Hi there, several weeks ago I ordered a Collins Dictionary. From memory it was the eighth edition. Please note that I have not received it yet.
Please note I do not want a refund, I want the dictionary
Regards Alan

You need to contact the seller, via eBay message
Leaving neg feedback to communicate you have not received it is not the way to 'communicate' as a first port of call
It also says that the seller is away until August 2nd, did it say that when you bought?
What was the estimated delivery date?
What is the item number?

From the seller you left the neg for ? If so, they've gone into liquidation, so you are probably not going to get it.

Yep, and unsecured creditors are the last to be paid, if any funds remain.

Yeah, I'm rather upset by it, just glad I didn't do my usual EOFYS binge so 'only' have $50 worth (ordered 3 months ago!) not going to show. The worst part- to get a refund, need to submit a creditor application with the administrator
From what I have heard you will be lucky to get 1 cent in the $, so not even a maccas soft serve cone.

I'm actually more worried about the small, local independent publishers selling Aussie authors that Booktopia used to stock. Its hard enough to compete against the multinationals.

Just curious.....wouldn't eBay's MBG apply? I realise in the OP's case they are probably well out of time but, hypothetically, if you had bought and paid for an item from Booktopia through eBay and the item didn't arrive by the due date, does it matter that Booktopia going into liquidation is the reason for the item not arriving?

I would assume in that case ebay would refund and try to reclaim the money back from seller as normal. If the case was lodged in time!
