I was 'black listed' because I left honest feedback.

I have spent about $2,000 with one supplier in the States, buying about fifty items over a period of 3 months. All was well at the beginning but then items listed as 'new' were obviously not, with major faults. I left honest feedback and now find that the seller has blocked me from bidding.
How can we trust the feedback system if sellers are allowed to block buyers who speak up rather than accept that it was a bad transaction and possibly never use ebay again.
It distorts the feedback system and has definitely changed my opinion of ebay.

Sir Sales,
Whatever one might be inclined to think of the OP's feedback history, I do know the seller.
the feedback for them is more than likely true.

All the more reason for the OP to not want anything to do with them anymore.
I wouldn't buy from that seller based on their feedback, so I fail to see why it is worthy of the OP complaining that the seller has blocked them! The seller has done them a HUGE favour.

Precisely.
I think the OP feels that rejection is unwarranted...as they feel in the right.
They do not see it the way we do, as something that should not matter In practical terms...after all, why buy again.
and anyone reading this thread can do themselves a big favour and remember the seller ๐

To answer your question: yes, I contacted them. This is an example of their response on one item. "Your sweater retails for over $300 and you only paid $65 so you got a bargain." The fact that the item was unwearable because the knitted edging had unravelled in 3 places was irrelevant to them. I made the point that if they had described the defect, I would not have bid knowing that it was almost impossible to rectify such a fault. The purpose of my message was to say that some buyers won't leave negative feedback even if they are dreadfully disappointed. Those who are honest enough to speak up and warn others are blocked from bidding again. But I agree, I would never buy from them again so it hasn't hurt me in any way. It just shows an anomaly in the ebay system which favours the seller.

I just can't see how it favours the seller - by your own admission you will never buy from them again - by blocking you the seller has ensured that and:
1. In doing so he will not 'benefit' from you again - how does that favour him?
2. You have left feedback for all buyers to see as was your right - again, how does that favour the seller?
Also - how do you know they have blocked you from bidding ?? Did you try to bid on another item ? If so, the seller obviously did the right thing as for all he knows is you may retaliate with more feedback.
I am not condoning this seller, or implying you would do the wrong thing, but he has the right to choose whom he wishes to deal with in future as do you.
You can't please all the people all the time, so now I just please myself
