As this was agift and unopened until recently the problem has just been found
I contated the seller twice but no response
Is there anything I can do after such a lapse in time
The product was Kennedy Miller Presents Great Australian Stories
I think I would have paid PayPal along with other items which I have since checked and were OK

To answer your question Valerie, No. The time lapsed is far too long for any sort of recourse.

How about the recipient said Ta - 18 months ago (didn't really want 'em)
And now is complaining back to the giver of said gift

If you were to buy anything in a shop, you would normally be lucky to get 12 months warranty.
I'm not sure you would get that with new DVDs from a store though.
Dec 2013 is a fair while ago. To put it in perspective, one of my daughters got married that month and now has a 5 month old child.
Yet you're expecting a seller to do something after all this time?
They will ignore you. It is possible that they won't believe you didn't lose them yourself. If they do know, then it is obvious they are not going to do anything about it.
The moral of the story-on ebay or shop purchases-you need to check them out pretty soon after you buy them.

Very likely. But the seller has only your word, over a year and a half later, that there is a problem. Sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own actions, or lack thereof, and not blame others.

if it was unopened why do you think the seller was riping you off.
maybe you think the seller said to himself [I think i am going to open up this dvd set take out 3 dvds and re wrap it , and hope the buyer does not open it for a couple of years ,mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm]
and if and a big if the seller took 3 dvds out of the box , after all this time , do you think he is going to tell you know after 2 years .
if it was new in the box it could of came from the manufacter that way ,but 2 years later ,what do you think anybody can do , and also can you prove it mmmmmm. have a nice day and dont worry about it there are more things to worry about .
