Item Location - changing default to Australia Only - Possible?

Is is possible to change the default search location to Australia Only? I am sick of having to change it everyday and I don't want to have to set up saved searches for every single thing that I might possibly want to search for.

Re: Item Location - changing default to Australia Only - Possible?

I have the opposite problem. my ebay is set to australia only as a default, and I have to switch it to international for most searches. this suggests that we are all not finding a setting that is already on ebay.

Go to My Ebay - Account - Site Preferences - Then down the bottom add a tick to "Keep me signed in on this Computer" then Apply

Re: Item Location - changing default to Australia Only - Possible?

BE AWARE that eBay inserts the postage cost, not the seller. Eg. I purchased a vintage drill brace, eBay said £44 for freight. I contacted the seller and he said he entered £7 at his end and eBay controls what is shown on my screen.
I checked with some items from the US, same deal (but US freight is still pricey).
MORAL - send your seller a message asking about freight $$ before accepting what eBay shows us!! Cheers S

If sellers in the UK and USA are opted into the GSP they have no say over the freight charges except for the local postage to get the item to the GSP hub.

The only way to change it is for the seller to opt out f the GSP and post the ite directy to the buyer.

And likely to be significantly more than 7 quid.

Not sure what that has to do with searching for Australia only, though

well eBay is American and they are kind of 'known' to take the view that when they have a monopoly they don't need to do anything.  I want 'worldwide' on every one of my searches, and have to set it every single search.  such a pain.  Guaranteed eBay will never get their act together on this issue!

So you want the opposite of what the OP wanted, all those years ago.

Hardly relevant to the issue, as you DO have the option to set what you want. With ONE click of the mouse. Hardly onerous. And nothing to do with eBay being American, as the default shows items listed on eBay Australia first.

Re: Item Location - changing default to Australia Only - Possible?

This thread was top of my google search to STOP eBay promoting US items which say like new just $29 plus $4,999 postage and handling. I am done with this and although Ebay owns Gumtree, Im going to switch and the staff will eventually be cut back on eBay. I hate it, I just lost the plot doing some simple window shopping and thinking thats cheap? NO! it is from the US and $4,999 postage and handling. I am done with this sh*t.. I just want to search Australia in Austraia and NOT have to go to Advanced Search every single item to set some defaults from a list as long as my arm which only lasts as long as that single item search, then back to the bloody USA search default? Make Australia the default in Australia if I want USA I will search eBay.COM as opposed to eBay.com.au. Done with this sh*t, just had enough OK! stick it where the sun dont shine.
