Item Not As Described advice needed

I have just received an item I ordered... It was supposed to be a brand new box of  GreenTeaX50 sachets x 30.. well that's how I interpreted the listing.

What I received was the 30 sachets, loose without the box. This wouldn't normally bother me, but I bought it for a secret santa gift for one of my health freak work colleagues & I expected a sealed box. I'm in debate whether to send it back - would it qualify as a SNAD item?

This is the item no 291967633612

Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

It doesn't actually say box, just 'pack'. If each sachet is sealed (in foil or similar) then it's probably as described. In my mind it's a bit obscure but it's not actually wrong.

Because it's a mix of flavours, I would think it coming loose and individually packed.

I suggest going to a $2 shop and buying one of those nice little boxes that look like it's giftwrapped.

It says NEW un opened

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item. See the seller's listing for full details

THis to me means in a box unopened NOT what you have described here.

To me that is not as described.

But sparklz they could be brand new unopened individually wrapped sachets.

I can see some would assume boxed but it doesnt say boxed in the listing and seeing as they are mixed flavours showing x amount of each, I would think repacked.

BUT it does not state the flavors are taken from open boxes to make a pack.

If advertised as NEW UNOPEN then that is not what was sent as the box was opened to make a pack making them not in an unopened box or packet.

I'd be extremely annoyed as to my mind, it most definitely is not as described.

The title says "Starter pack'.

In the body of the ad it lists the contents of the starter pack.

It actually says 'package contents' and from there lists the 3 types of sachets you will get.

The word package therefore does not mean sachets.

So as far as I am concerned, they should be in a package, I would have expected some type of cardboard box.

Have a look at the photo in your ad. It is a photo of the box it is meant to come in. Maybe not as clear as in some other ads, but a box all the same.

Have a look at this ad:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Green-Tea-X50-60-Serve-Tribecca-Health-Weight-Loss-Detox/252281407363?_tr...

When I buy tea bags from a supermarket, even if they are individually wrapped in foil, they come in their own sealed box. For the price you paid, it is not too much to ask for.

I would put in a not as described claim immediately.

If it's sent in a satchel or wrapped in brown paper to send it, that's a package. There's no picture of a box in the listing and no mention of one. The picture is taken FROM a box but it's not OF a box. What others have in their listings has got absolutely nothing to do with what's in this one. How they're sold in supermarkets has nothing to do with this listing either.

A little more research shows that Green Tea X50 comes in a box of 60 sachets.

If they're selling 30 sachets, then you won't get the box.    'Package' probably means

the package that gets sent to you - as in parcel.

If it's needed for a Secret Santa,   I'd accept that and do as Kopes suggested

and buy a gift box to put them in.

Pack: bundle of things wrapped up or tied together for carrying, parcel; a measure of various goods; lot or set.

Nowhere does this indicate a box, but on the contrary, it would indicate loose items sent together. If the seller had intended to send them in a box they would most likely have said "your box will contain".
