First, where is the item coming from...have you allowed enough time for it to arrive?
Not all sellers send with tracking numbers....are you sure the seller used a tracked postal service?

I agree with CQ....items posted within the same city should not take longer that a week to arrive unless there are exceptional circumstances. A dispute is well and truly in order after all this time.
Australia Post parcels have automatic tracking but not letter rate items.

The thing is, is it really the seller's fault when the item has already been shipped?
But without a tracking number you cannot know that the item has been shipped. Unless you can track it on the AP website the seller can mark it as sent without actually putting it in the postbox or handing it over the counter.
Opening a dispute may galvanise the seller into giving you the tracking number. If not you can ask ebay to intervene and he will have to prove that it has actually be posted.

I bid and paid for an item on 4th of May. The item was shipped on 14th of May. On 29th of May, I emailed the seller about the item, no response. On the 5th of June (which is today), I emailed the seller again asking for the tracking number, still no response. If this keeps up, what should my next move be?
Its great when items arrive fast (I had an item arrive 5 whole days before the earliest estimated arrival date!), but unfortunately, those cases are few and far between.
