I have been trying to find plants on eBay which I have been unable to source locally - I have found them with a particular seller and the price is fairly reasonable. However, I have noticed that this shop is selling or trying to sell other (tubestock) plants I am familiar with which you can buy at Bunnings for less than $7 for nearly $50 plus postage.
I have advised them of my concerns through "contact seller" option for a number of these listings without a single response. The prices of these particular items have not been amended to something more reasonable either. I have made it clear to them that I am not soliciting any sort of deal for myself by pointing out these items, and I am loathe to support them by purchasing the plants which I actually do wish to purchase.
In a nutshell, I can't find a way to report an unscrupulous seller unless I have purchased the item in question from them. Can anyone advise me if there is a way to report a seller like this before they take in unsuspecting plant lovers, without having to purchase from them? It certainly seems that I will have to forgo buying the plants I want because of this awkward situation. This seller sells many different products, not just plants, so heaven knows how many people are at risk of being "ripped off".
Does eBay ever audit sellers? I am more than happy to name the seller if that is allowed.

Thanks 🙂 I thought I might be a bit late, and noticed some moderation in the thread along the journey so guessed I might've missed out on some pertinent developments, but I kinda wanted to have a huff about my job actually being a job, anyways (despite not being involved in any way before now, and along with the other stuff, of course.

The problem is, some people think if you work from home, it's not a real job. Apparently a real job is getting up in the morning, getting dressed, getting in your car and sitting in traffic for 4 hours, climbing some 85 storey high rise office building, ending the day at 5pm, sitting in the car for 3 hours to get home, scoff some takeaway and go to bed to start again the next day. Nuts to that!
My brother used to own an internet service provider. He saved a truckload of money by operating from home. His hours were supposed to be 9-5, but he'd be getting calls at 6am and still getting calls at 11pm and midnight. He worked his guts out all day. He'd go out in the evening for an hour, where he'd ignore all calls, or turn his phone off. The amount of people who told him to go and get a real job was incredible.
People who work from home a smart. You can save a truckload of money running your own business from there. Why pay some obscene amount of money for a shopfront, when you can run it at home for nothing?
It would be interesting to know what the OP thinks a "real job" is. I doubt they are in a position now to come back and answer that due to their constant abuse of forum policies.

No, that disrespect was most definitely and exclusively aimed at eBay sellers, many of which can't even work from home due to how large and successful their businesses are.

Really?
You are obviously a seller or store owner. Perhaps you need to get a real job and find out what work is before you ask me if I work for nothing.

I'm not a store owner, but I am a seller. It's actually in my terms and conditions that you have to be old and/or vulnerable to buy my items that are marked up at 1000% on purchase price. If they tell me they are a young, blonde 21 yo, they get blocked. I don't want anyone who earns money by working, I only want the old pensioners who I can rip off. Why else would I do this? They are so gullible and fall for my "poor me" acts to get them to pay more. You should try it.

Good grief, that's a lot of insults for just a couple of paragraphs. I don't know whether to be impressed or disappointed.

Impressed, impressed, impressed. How could you not be impressed? They used paragraphs, punctuation AND capital letters at the start of a sentence. That made me VERY impressed!

I am unsure how davewil1964 violated policy when he quoted something the OP has said. They were not his words. Shouldn't this be directed at the OP for violating policy by degenerating respected, long term forum members?
