After having been a member of E Bay for many years I have noticed items not arriving. This has occured all 2018 and in each case from China.Has anyone else had problems with Chinese purchases this year?

Ditto with the packaging. It could be improved at times.

I brought up the same issue a week ago - because I too have noticed a growing trend in non-delivery (note however, that I live in Perth).

x-China postage is getting longer or doesn't arrive at all - growing trend?

'I have found that in the past few months I am more regularly following up with Chinese sellers (no racism intended) re undelivered items. ๐
The responses are always courteous and helpful - and invariably result in a prompt refund. ๐
However, I have also noticed that none of the 'missing' items ever turns up ...
... which leads me to think 'is buyer complaceny being exploited by intentional non-supply of low-cost goods?' ๐
Let's stop this 'trend' before it makes ebay-buying an unpleasant experience.'

Replies to my post seem to suggest that there is a growing trend, and that long-time buyer-seller relationships are not affected.

I'm not having any issues. Most of my items turn up in under 2 weeks. I recently bought multiple items from China and they were here in 4 days. I certainly didn't pay for express postage! I always opt for the standard free post because the items I buy, there is no rush for me to get them.
I have been buying from China for years. 2 items didn't arrive and the sellers refunded me within minutes of me sending the message, despite me saying I was happy to wait another week. Another item arrived months later, long after I'd been refunded. Seller said not to repay because I was honest in letting them know it had finally arrived.
I guess it depends on the Chinese sellers. I trust mine to always do the right thing, because they always have.

Tippy Toes, your comments sound too good to be true,it would be the ideal scenario though. By the way what is your buyer star rating - zero does not seem like much is happening. Plenty of posts though. I think trust and honesty appear to be your main message ? I must remember that. Thankyou. China to Sydney in under 2 weeks - fantastic.

Tippy is a very experienced buyer and seller....and a respected responder on the boards.
She has several ebay IDs and this one is purely for posting on the boards.
Very few members post here with their main selling IDs.
