I have been using eBay for years but since Covid the Customer service is almost nil. Consequently I avoid it like the plague and only use it when desperate. There is literally no help with difficult sellers who are taking advantage. Ebay if your wondering why your business is decaying, look at the sellers many of whom are appalling. Look inside YOUR lack of buyer support which is literally awful. It's getting very hard to find good sellers on eBay now..... think I will stick to Amazon who may be costly but is much better. I can't even talk to anyone anymore!!!! I am disgusted.. very cheesed off buyer in NSW

Out of curiosity and checking every single community posts this year, it is interesting to see a few familiar community member names providing all super quick (usually within 30mins) and overly enthusiastic responses to deflect all negative towards ebay from other community members . It is good to see someone who are very knowledgeable about all the ebay rules and provide numerous links to support the shop's perspective while condemning any members who go against the shop's policies.
Please have an open mind that some members feel obligated to remind fellow buyers and sellers to be cautious and know what steps to take if similar incident happens to them.
Not just Temu, I also mention about Amazon and now Catch.com , Rakuten , to me , do better in all aspects. People nowadays are smart enough to shop around (price, customer service , delivery time /cost, refund process etc) and choose their ideal online marketplace.
Talking about rewards and gifts for comments, I just found out "some" loyal ebay members with over a few thousand to over 10000 posts, wow !! This motivates me to check on every posts and starting to take part more in the ebay community forum.

I believe I have enough ability to choose to shop at other safer e-commerce marketplace with more protection, significantly efficient customer support, "much longer refund window" and easier refund process than EbayMBG. Not rocket science .

eBay is an EDP - a platform, not a seller. It offers sufficient protection in most cases. I don’t have to be a slavish fan of eBay and its policies to be able to buy safely on the platform; I do need to know the actual policies and also to be wary about cheap tat and too-good-to-be-true scenarios.
eBay is by no means my only go-to for online buying. But I do not and will not buy from Temu, Shein, Alibaba, etc. I’ve already posted extensively about why not.

Knock yourself out checking "every" post.
Taking more part in the Community is fine... providing you stop spamming the boards, dragging up threads that were old when the Dead Sea was only sick & showing your lack of knowledge in addition to dropping in the odd insult.

Maybe instead of trolling the forum and taking issue with members giving real world, factual information based on polices, you could make better use of your time
No members are rewarded for commenting
When buyers can't be bothered checking who they are buying from, opening disputes etc no amount of 'keeping an open mind' is going to change their minds
Yes, other members are quick to comment with basic facts
Would you rather we keep people with questions waiting
It is a member to member forum, no surprise members are the ones responding
If you want to hear what you want to hear, contact eBay so they can give the sugar coated. flowery responses you seek
They are not going to look into anything etc etc
That is what their scripts tell them to say to get rid of people
Pointing out what the actual policies are is not defending them or agreeing with them
I'd rather post facts than personal opinion
Personal opinion does not help anyone get their money back
Checking feedback and opening disputes does

I agree with you eBay MBG is the worst compare to other online E commerce site.

You may be interested to know they treat sellers with the same disregard. We are an Australian B2B seller of industrial goods and were recently the victims of buyer fraud where the buyer returned something other than the $1000 industrial item we sold them. We provided overwhelming proof and EBay immediately refunded the fraudster.
We had to jump through hoops and provide many documents to appeal what should have been an open and shut case. We eventually received a refund but so did the scammer who has now been encouraged to do it again I presume. EBay "customer service" is a generous description.

Open and shut case, unfortunately that is only your opinion. Ebay and noboby else has any idea what you received as a return.
Ebay pays out hundreds of millions in goodwill payments each and every year.

Agree, besides their poor and unfair judgement eBay makes you run around its site before you can chat with an agent , they don't even have a customer service manager grade to handle complaints. The agents act like an AI , type out preset sentences and company policies....super poor customer service!!!!
