I have been with ebay since 2005, in that time I have never been scammed UNTIL NOW
Purchased 2 office chairs - ID member had no feedback and was new to ebay, gave him an opportunity to get feedback,
viewing now so did 10 other people.
No sign of any goods, he has not answered 5 emails I sent looking for goods - NO REPLY
I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED , BEWARE of New ebayers with no feedback ..
I believe other buyers have not left feedback yet, maybe they are still unaware the chairs are NOT coming
Hope this helps everyone BUYING on Ebay

It's not yet past the ETA for the chairs, and the courier they're using is notoriously slow to deliver. The seller says 4 - 15 business business days for delivery and only 13 business days have passed.
Did you contact the seller for tracking before leaving the neg for them?

Did you think that these chairs would only cost $10 to post? That is suspicious to me right off the bat.
I am assuming you paid with Paypal? if you don't have a tracking number then just go to your Paypal acount and open a not received case. It is simple and you will get your money back if there is no tracking number showing that it has been sent and delivered.

You have not been scammed YET......as Padi says, the number of business days since you bought the chairs is not yet up.
Very few of the buyers have passed their estimated delivery times yet...perhaps they are just more patient than you are.

If a newbie seller is selling items at less than a third of the true price why do people still think that they are
genuine?,(seeing as ten of them have been "sold" to gullible members).
They didn't even change the listing title so all you had to so was put that into a search on eBay and you
would've gone straight to the listing that this scammer copied,

I would have thought being a seller, you'd know how to get a refund for an item that doesn't arrive. Very strange.

It is way too soon for the OP to open an ebay dispute although they can still do a paypal one.

I too have been scammed. just to lett everyone know ebay is not to be believed in its money back guarantee for thetotal useless **bleep** that its marketed as.
The scammer who received my payment after trying to pay through paypal and being refused is REMOVED.
So when buyers are presented with an alternative to paypal dont pay knock back the item as ebay buyer protection is totally useless you will get a response like this from ebay.
This is about REMOVED that you have purchased by hiflowhiflow.
Here in eBay, if the buyer will not received the item beyond the Estimated Date of Delivery. Then the buyer has the option to file an Item Not Received Request for the system to automatically place the payment on hold. This gives the assurance to the buyers that they will be getting the money back if they have not received the item. That is why, it is best practice that the buyer to use Paypal in paying for the item. Once the buyer would use Paypal, eBay has the ability to place the funds on hold by the time the buyer would filed an Item Not Received Request. This gives eBay to have an authority to recoup the payment from the Paypal account of the seller. Any other payment method aside from Paypal is not covered with eBay Money Back Guarantee Program. Since we dont have any way to recoup the payment from the account of the seller.
As we have checked the order you have made, it shows that you have paid the item through Bank Transfer. Yes, you were able to file an Item Not Received Request. This gives the seller a notification to rectify the issue for you. However, eBay does not have the Bank details of the seller, thus we dont have any way to place the payment on hold. We have tried to close the case on your favor, but the system did not detect any Paypal account that is associated with the transaction. Thus the system cannot recoup the payment from the Bank account of the seller. With this being said, I'm afraid that the only option that we can do to get your money back is to contact directly the seller for the seller to manually refund the money back to your Bank account.
Unfortunately, this transaction doesn't meet the requirements for coverage under eBay Money Back Guarantee.
As a buyer, you can open a case with eBay Money Back Guarantee on eBay.com.au when all of the following are true:
• You're not suspended at the time of the purchase.
• You bought the item on eBay.com.au (or any of the other covered sites: eBay.com, eBay.ca, eBay.co.uk, eBay.de).
• You opened the case within 30 days of the item's delivery date / estimated delivery date.
• You paid with PayPal or a credit card, using eBay checkout.
• The item is not excluded from eBay Money Back Guarantee based on its category (like Motors or Real Estate).
• You didn't alter/repair the item (if you're claiming the item was faulty or broken).
• You haven't initiated another resolution process (like with your bank or credit card company).
As you can see, your case is not eligible because of you have paid the item Via Bank transfer. I know this seems like a long list of requirements, but without all these factors we can't provide the comprehensive coverage that our buyers need.
The best thing to do next is to contact your seller and ask them to resolve the problem.
1. Go to My eBay > Purchase history and find the item.
2. Under More actions, select Contact seller.
3. Describe your issue and click on Send
Here are some further options to help you resolve this:
- If you paid for this item via credit/debit card or bank transfer you may be eligible for payment protection directly from your bank or card provider. You may wish to contact them directly to find out what options they can offer you.
- If the seller doesn't resolve the problem, you may have rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law. For more information, please visit the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) website: http://www.accc.gov.au/.
- File a complaint with a group called econsumer.gov, a multinational effort set up to deal with cross-border incidents. You can submit a complaint at the following address: www.econsumer.gov.
- Consider contacting law enforcement. Please ask the investigating officer to contact us from this page: http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Law_enforcement.
I know that this wasn't the response you were hoping for, but I trust that this information is helpful.
Warm Regards,
Romeo B.

So unless you want to loose your money or even consider trusting ebay money back guarrantee from ebay which you will get this sort of story. Its left up to you to chase themoney which is what scammers understand. And as ebay and paypal are brothers in arms you will always loose. Just hope this sends a message and has severly curtailed my ebay purchases.

You paid by bank deposit. There is no buyer protection for bank deposit.
Maybe you should read ebay policies to understand how to buy safely.
And personal details are a no-no on these boards. The moderator will remove
them and the seller's name also.

It's a pick up item so why didn't you pay when you went to pick it up
Then you should've checked the eBay money back guarantee first before purchasing,(which has always been
the case that you have use a safe payment method) :
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
it clearly states that you have to pay via a safe payment method and by paying by Paypal eBay can
retrieve the payment.
If you pay by Bank Deposit then eBay can't access those funds so obviously can't take that payment back,(
so it's not a safe payment method).
Try reporting it to Acorn,(the cyber crime online reporting agency) : https://www.acorn.gov.au/
