No Posting Just Pickup

Hello, I have been on this site for some time and would like someone to explain to me what it is

with these people who only allow local pickup? Why dont they just advertise in their local papers and Bulletin Boards.

It just really irks me.

Yes frustrating but there is an answer its called www.e-go.com.au who pick up for you from the seller. There are plenty of other carriers, some even advertise on ebay, but make sure they are reputable!!

Sometimes items exceed weight and or size limitations for Australia post, such as furniture. then its alwasy best to contact the seller to see if they know of a carrier or courier service they can recommend.

The OP hasn't been on the forums for 18 months since they posted this message so they are unlikely to see your reply. If I had a pick up item there is no way I would allow it to be collected by a courier. I work weird hours and given couriers are so unreliable with their times, there's a better than even chance I wouldn't be here when they decided to turn up. If it was something that could be posted, it would be listed with postage.

I have bought a couple of things from interstate that were listed as pick up only. I messaged the seller before I bid and asked if they would be willing to post. They said they would be but they hadn't listed it with postage as they didn't think anyone would want to pay the cost for it. Only one person said they wouldn't post and that is absolutely their call.

I have had buyers drive from interstate to pick up a pick up only purchase so I will always list puo on ebay.

Re: No Posting Just Pickup

ive also had a buyer drive from interstate for a pick up only item ,i  prefer cash on pickup even if it means getting less money for the item , most of my sales have been done that way regardless of whether it could easily be posted  ,simply because cash in hand is a alot better than dealing with paypal.
