No wonder you're losing mass market share to Amazon

It appears this is the only way to give feedback to Ebay themselves eveno though I doubt they even check these.

2 points that are causing extreme annoyance and causing me to shop anywhere but on Ebay.

1. Local sellers that aren't local - Ebay is letting sellers nominate they are in your country for local shipping, then when a product is ordered you get an internaional shipping number and postage takes double the time.. If I wanted to shop in China I'd use one of the 1000 other china based suppliers that are way cheaper than ebay sellers.

2. You can no longer sort by price. Whichever Genius allowed listings to have multiple options then didn't notice that **bleep**ty sellers are listing a piece of paper at $1 and the actual product at $200 so they hit the top of the list when sorted by price dosen't deserve their job.

Honestly Ebay you had such a decent opportunity to do more and you go and make decisions that eat at your clients trust. If I can't sort through the garbage and certainly can't guarantee where something is coming form I'm not going to shop here. And neither will most.

eBay don't read here.

I blame the cheats and most of those are Asians.

Sellers misusing genuine functions for their own selfishness.

Same as when sellers listed an item for $1 with 500 postage to circumvent fees.

Now we all pay fees on postage.

I agree it's driving buyers away.

Re: No wonder you're losing mass market share to Amazon

I've never bought anything on Amazon. The things I like to buy aren't sold there. Plus, any time I did find something of interest "Does not post to Australia". So, I gave up and have never been back.

I'm happy enough with eBay. I know how to weed out Chinese sellers and those that abuse the multi variation listings. It's not that hard. That said, a lot of what I buy does come from China.

Weโ€™re just tiny wee fish OP. Here to feed on what eBay considers the menu appropriate for us. Weโ€™re vulnerable and also very expendable. Some of us get baited, hooked and sometimes eaten.

Just stay among the protective coral and weed and rocky substrate, do your own thing, do it fairly, and visit here often, especially if you need help.

The menu and side dishes here will never be anywhere near palatable. But, you can improvise and make a fairly decent meal for yourself once you learn how to โ€˜tweakโ€™ the menu and avoid the nasty rusty hooks within it.

Melina.

Not to be confused with the Amazon's 'candiru', a tiny "wee-fish" according to some accounts. (Warning: not for the squeamish!)

Well, I do know for a fact Lyndal that since Global Shipping / Pitney Bowes came on the scene, people have migrated over to Amazon to buy stuff because the sellers send via USPS which is a third of what Pitney Bowes charge. I have found myself looking on Amazon more. I think maybe 6 months ago was my last purchase. May be more recent. I'll have to check. So the OP does have a point.
