Twice recently I have sent sellers a question with regard to a listing and have not had replies. In one case I sent the message 3 times ... Nothing has changed at my end with regard to email and contact details. Any ideas as to whether there is something I may be missing?

I have had occasions when I have asked a question like eg. "is that a crack I can see on the item?" and I get no answer, and then I think, they don't want to answer as I have noticed the flaw that they are trying to cover up., so no answer to these sorts of questions, I won't buy.

I wondered that too.
If the seller has been slapped with a ban or restriction, then that would explain it, but otherwise it could be because of the question.
Some sellers may not want to commit themselves but if it is a straight forward enough question, you'd think most sellers would answer because if a person goes ahead and buys, how would they be expected to then rate 'communication'. It would have to be down around one star.
