Possible scam

Hey everyone I won a bid on a ps5 digital last sunday and bought it for $780 with $20 postage through paypal. The seller was in contact with me and responded very fast on the last day of the bidding but the day after I saw he did not mark it as posted yet to I tried to get in contact with him and have done that everyday since. Today is when its meant to come and still very worried and my anxiety is going through the roof. He used his account once last year and that was it. Anyone know when I should go for a dispute??

Re: Possible scam

The seller should have added the tracking number after posting the item.

As they haven't - it kind of goes in your favour - as they cannot prove the item was posted or delivered.

Think it is a big SCAM.

Re: Possible scam

Have a go now at opening an ' item not received '  INR - if it won't allow - as PMoon suggested - try again after business hours.

But do it.

Re: Possible scam

The listing says Australia Post standard parcel, and ALL AusPost parcels have tracking now. The tracking number is usually just under the symbol that means that an item has been sent (as well as the other symbols, like paid etc.) Some sellers send a PM with the tracking number, but this is obviously not the case with you.

Unfortunately without the tracking number not even AusPost can tell you where the parcel is (in case it has been sent).

The auction ended 8 days ago. IMO the seller should have responded by now (and of course he should have sent the item too). I mean, it didn't end a couple of days ago...

Re: Possible scam

If it was a genuine sale the seller would have added the tracking to cover his/her own butt - for that amount of dosh.

As said - tracking these days on parcels is automatic.

Re: Possible scam

You have to wait until the day is over...

Re: Possible scam

For the future what should I look for when buying an expensive item like this so this wont happen again?

Re: Possible scam

Wait for the sales - go to an actual shop - you then have a genuine receipt & warranty.

Re: Possible scam

People. people, people....ease up.

The seller is new at this game.  He's sold the item, and probably posted it.

There's no communication because he thinks that's all he has to do.  A new seller won't know about uploading tracking.  And since he's sold the only item he had, he won't check in either to see any messages.

If you open a case for item not received and get your money refunded, are you going to repay the seller when it turns up?

Other than that....the auction was hilarious.

4 zero bidders.  How many were shills?

And Brandan, you're stuck with that neutral now.  You can't change it to a negative, only a positive.
