Postal system from China has gone to pot

This free postage that ebay likes, in the past - a year or two ago - if I purcahsed something, I had it really quickly.

Now, yes, free postage but in the last 2 weeks, I have had to ask for refunds from 3 sellers because items hadn't turned up.

And since getting the refunds 2 days ago, 2 of the items have turned up, nearly double the expected delivery time - going by the chart the seller provides.

Yes, I wanted the items faster but I wasn't chamoing at the bit because they were very low $ value and I only asked for a refund based on people on here telling me that don't let it go past 43 days.

Anyway, I have messaged the sellers and told them I am sending the money back to them !

I think you're a bit off topic here.

Michelle, whenever you're replying to a specific person, you need to click on the "reply" button at the bottom-right of that person's message, otherwise it becomes very confusing because nobody has any idea to whom your message is directed. I'm sure the above response wasn't meant for aps1080, was it? 🙂

I presume you've lodged Paypal claims for those transactions? If so, just escalate them and get your refunds. If the items do ultimately turn up at a later date, you can always pay the seller again for them, as I've done in the past under similar circumstances.

No, they were the ones i talked about the other day where the 3 sellers have refunded me already, no need for a claim.

I know hve to (or have) sent the money bck to two of thm as th product turned up.

It must have been in another thread on post.

I did all this before the 34 day cut off. I would have opened a aypal claim if they hadnt refunded before the cutoff date.

Oh yeah, now you bring it up I think you did mention it in another thread. Good sellers, and good on you also for paying them again. Incidentally, it's a 45 day cut-off, not 34. I'd hate to think you were diddling yourself out of 11 whole days. 😉

Yes, I was on an ipad and tired when I typed 34, I had this nagging feeling it was 43 (45 days being cut off but someone on here said don't go past 43).

It seems quite a few Chinese have those charts for delivery percentages which are quite good and I use them.

Paying back - hell, why wouldn't you ??? Apart from being the "right thing to do", $1 - $4.99 is peanuts to us, it can be a lot of money to them. Even knowing roughly what things cost to make in China, the margins are pretty slim and the pay woeful. In any case, I want to buy some more off them !!! LOL
