Problem with checkout that seems unique to MY ebay only.....

Hi to all and a Happy New Year!

I have this problem where checkout is not completing logging me through to Paypal to finish the transaction.

It seems to be linked to just my Ebay as it happens when I try to complete checkout on another computer?? Strange yes!

My neighbour`s computer works for her as she bought and paid for something today and went through checkout no problems but 

when I log into Ebay on her machine I get the same problem still!

It`s driving me insane....

Can anyone suggest a solution from our vast community knowledge?

If Auction, try changing your ID and see if that works. There is no ban on bigotry on eBay. Otherwise it would be a PO Box or NPB strikes.

I see what you mean....I have had this ID for a very long time and this is the first time i have had any probs with checkout.

I also have a 100% positive feedback score and usually I pay very promptly...I think I will have to call Ebay and see what they say

I can log in to Paypal from my browser ok with no problems at all..

If You can log into paypal just make the payment from there.....bypass checkout entirely as that seems to be where the problem is.

I also have the some problem when paying with paypal via the ebay checkout, it simply times out while attempting to log into the paypal a/c

This has been happening for a couple of months for me & for other members too, I contacted PP about it and they couldn't see a problem. I contacted ebay about it and was informed it was a KNOWN ISSUE and they said their technicians are working on it. But that is a standard reply for any ebay problems.

I attempted to purchase an item today & the same thing happened AGAIN when I attempted to pay via Paypal.

There is a way around it, but it is very frustrating and annoying, at the bottom of the Paypal sign in page there's a link to PAY using a Credit Card, if you click on that you have to enter all of your card details, it still goes through Paypal, but just not your PP a/c.  Alternatively you can ask your seller for bank details and pay via bank deposit.

A friend of mine has the same problem when trying to pay from her computer, but she can pay via her iphone with no problems.

I have 3 different ebay IDs, I also use IE, Firefox, Safari & Google Chrome, and have the same problem no matter which ID or browser I use. I don't have an iphone or ipad, I use a desktop computer for all of my ebaying.

You shouldn't have to go through all that, once you have logged into Paypal you should be able to find the ebay transaction and be able to pay as normal.

How do you find the ebay transaction when logged into Paypal?
