I signed in to paypal to make a payment and was requested buy them to fill in a form as a random security measure. This I have done and now am unable to complete a Buy Now transaction. I have checked to see if I have exceeded my limit with paypal but in fact because I completed the security form my limit has been increased!!!!. I also have a secondary account just in case there should ever be insufficient funds in my primary account. Can anyone give me advice please. I have phoned paypal but it seems impossible to speak to a real person. Very frustrating. Cheers Kathleen

If you have another Paypal account why not just use that to make the payment?

Yes Seller does send to Australia.

I have tried to use my other account but am now unable to get through to paypal. A notice comes up on the screen saying "Sorry we could not complete your request at this time"... then goes on to advise me to contact them. I have sent an email, and as I mentioned have attempted to phone them but the options they offer has nothing to do with my situation. Thanks Kathleen

Sounds like there could be a security issue with your account.
I have had a few where PayPal thinks the activity is unusual and requires me to re-confirm certain details.
You will need to get onto PayPal by phone even if you select a different option just to get through.

I have already contacted the seller advising them that I have been experiencing difficulties, but will check to see if they are having problems of their own. And try again phoning paypal tomorrow, it's Sunday here - not that I know if that makes any difference.

Hi Kate,
I have been having this "cannot process your payment at this time" error since the beginning of December. I posted the problem on this board then but no-one had a solution. I contacted ebay NUMEROUS times and they kept fobbing me off saying there was not a problem.
Well.......Today I solved my problem ๐ ๐ ๐
Try logging into you Paypal account independantly to ebay and go to your Profile.Click on the "My Money" link on left hand side of the page. Look at the "payment after delivery" option and make sure it is not set to that as the default. It should read "Change this as a preferred payment option at checkout.". Once I did that my access to Paypal was restored. Hope it works for you too ๐
