I was under the impression that Qantas Points could only be transferred to a family member, so a sale of those on-line would be raising big red flags for me.
Not eBays fault that you made a purchase outside the T&C's of Qantas. Sometimes people need to take responsibility for their own actions. If it looks to good, it is to good. But in this case an expensive lesson for yourself.
