Queensland Knife Restrictions do not align with state law and are discriminative

The new policy that eBay have imposed meaning any buyer residing in Queensland can not purchase any knife is not aligned with the actual legislation changes.

The only thing that has changed is that you need to be 18 to purchase a knife.

Ebay should just implement age verification and stop this ridiculous heavy handed policy that prevents legitimate users such as myself from purchasing legal items.

You guessed wrong once again. 😂 Wow, I didn't realise CS employees don't work for Ebay! 🤣 What actually happened was that I got a positive outcome, so that was fantastic. The Ebay rep was also more than helpful admitting that their 'system' got it wrong, and that they are working on fixing the issue.

What result?   CS is operated on contract, external to ebay.

Ebays  and their legal department have had months to implement a system to cater to these laws.  Age verification is not going to be a simple fix and in any event is not  required for exempt items.

I do not see any changes coming in the near future and they definitely won't  be down to a call to CS,

The legislation  is very poor, read it rather than a retailer association pamphlet

The cs told you what was in the script for them to say, simple as that

Maybe it will be fixed, maybe it won't

But you were not given a 'personalised' response, nobody who contacts cs is

What everyone is told is pre-written/scripted responses based on the closed thing the caller is complaining about

Most likely they have had enough 'complaints' by now to have a pre-written script for it

Not sure if Fair Trading feels their time was wasted or not

Nor do I understand the fixation people have with absolutely having to buy these things from an eBay seller rather than somewhere else

The positive result was that I will be able to purchase scalpel blades on Ebay in a week as they admitted their system is at fault, and they are fixing the problem. 😁

No, it wasn't scripted as you assume. You seem unsure of many things as you use words like "most likely" and "Nor do I understand." It is a bit perplexing for some people I guess.
