Hi,
I purchased a dvd set on 01/12/24 and was provided a tracking number.
When tracking the parcel, Fedex said it was delivered on 09/12/24. The proof of delivery photo was a large roll of plastic, left at someone else's house.
I contacted both Fedex and the seller.
The seller said it was a mix up and sent another dvd set, with Australia Post tracking.
The item states "delivered " even though I reported it hasn't.
Fedex have no history of my address.
Australia Post do not identify the tracking number, today was the latest the second delivery would arrive.
The seller is fraudulent, I asked for a full refund, no message.
I left negative feedback, he had it removed.
How is that even possible?
The feedback was removed even though I opened a dispute with Ebay over this seller, provided details about the item not being delivered, both to Ebay and in my negative feedback.
This seller is continuing to scam people, and I was denied my right to leave feedback.
This seller is a major seller, is that why he could have my feedback removed?
I also mentioned in my feedback that the seller is not located in Australia, but overseas.
I have proof in the false tracking number he provided.
Why didn't Ebay contact me before removing my feedback?
The system is not fair to buyers when they are up against large sellers.
Now I need to wait until 18/12/24 for Ebay to refund my money.
I'm down $40, which might not seem a lot to people, but to me, it is.
I've also reported this seller to Ebay.
When a seller can easily have negative feedback removed, how honest is the feedback system?
All I see is Ebay supporting a scammer, a fraudulent seller who never had any intention of providing me with what I purchased.

A scammer's been in control of the account since the feedback "nice item" was left.
The account needs too be closed and restored to it's rightful owner
Hi casey, I do not see anything to support your claim that the account has been hijacked.
The account is only 9 months old, has not been dormant, and has been selling in a constant and regular capacity for the majority of that time.
There is considerable evidence that the seller is acting as a drop shipper. A 2 bit seller can only ship low value items via fedex, free of charge, via multi national third parties who are able to meet the costs by shipping millions of items per month at considerable discount rates. Yes there are errors caused by the seller, the third party and also the courier.

Not only fine, let's broadcast it to the buyers.
ebay message received with refund
"We discovered some unusual activity and removed this item from our site"
"EBay refunded after unusual activity"
eBay must think "unusual activity" sounds better than hijacked.
And yet another account remains in the hands of a scammer.
Again, the account needs to be closed and restored to it's rightful owner
Hi again casey, Am a bit confused, where did these messages come from and do they relate to the OP or the relevant purchase.
Unusual activity, does not mean hijacked account.
The item relevant to this post has not been removed, and as yet there is nothing to indicate any action has been taken against the seller, most unusual if ebay believe the account is hijacked.
If the seller was refunded by ebay, that does not mean the seller has been deemed to be at fault, or that any action is pending against the seller. If the seller has met their obligations to ebay and the seller, then ebay can and do make goodwill payments to buyers.

Still trying to challenge my knowledge GP ?
I haven't got time for all this rubbish again.
Scammers have control of the selling accounts mentioned in this thread - End Of !
And eBay refuses to do anything about it.
To redeye, if you ever come across this thread by chance, I'd advise you to take your blood pressure meds before reading it. lol Nothing's changed.

It does not take much, I spent about half an hour last night and was able to identify exactly where multiple items from the seller, including the item relevant to this thread were coming from. The relevant item had a mark up of under $10 from the third party source, with free worldwide shipping, now by the time the seller pays ebay fees, it is hardly worth their time, effort, and hassle. Oh the joys of drop shipping.
Some of their sales have as little as $2 markup, so by the time they pay ebay fees they are flat out breaking even. Great business plan the seller has.
Unfortunately as much as you might wish to believe, you have not uncovered a master scammer, just a 2 bit drop shipper, who has probably read a couple of articles about getting rich on ebay and has no idea what to do when it goes wrong.

Sorry casey, but there was no challenge!

@*casey* wrote:I back you all the way, but can you please keep this thread on topic and not let it become personal ?
There's some really important information in this thread and I, for one, wouldn't like to see it removed.
While I appreciate your backing your reply seem a bit odd to me:
- You want to keep this thread on topic but you can't resist to comment on my post to someone else (2 replies) 😃
- There is nothing much more important in this thread than 100s of other threads and there is no tangible reason to remove it.
Keep'em coming 🤘

@mdgli
Have you actually read the entire thread ?
It’s about scammers, hijacked accounts and eBay’s refusal to pay buyers through the MBG.
It’s about buyers leaving negative feedback and a scammer having it removed.
Bringing your personal “he said” “she said “ comments into someone else’s thread doesn’t help anyone and takes the thread off topic.
I keep mentioning that eBay used to have great Customer Support and Trust and Safety teams.
They’re LONG GONE
My responses are ALWAYS aimed at helping anyone who is dealing with a scammer.
Some seem to think a hijacked account is always an old dormant account now listing high priced non existent items.
IT’S NOT
I have over 20 years experience dealing with scammers and hijacked accounts.
The selling accounts mentioned in this thread are being run by scammers.
I have a 0 feedback posting ID
I don’t care who believes me or not.
If the information I give helps only one person , I’ll be happy.
Recent newer threads help to to do this, especially if inexperienced buyers read it.

I’ll throw a possibility into the mix.
It is just a possibility; I have insufficient information at present.
It’s this:
AI is being implemented in eBay in even more ways and to a greater degree than one might expect. I postulate that it’s not even being run under human validation.
This will skew expected results and outcomes where the AI process comes to faulty conclusions. It seems clear that a bot-driven process is already problematic, but when the process is extended to areas where human oversight corrected errors or formed an avenue of appeal, and it’s based upon data that we know is being used to “train” AI, with AI known to “hallucinate” where data doesn’t provide a correct answer… it becomes dangerous and manifestly resistant to evidence provided outside the prescribed pathway.
As I said… I don’t know that this is happening, but it is a possible (and plausible) explanation where a hijacked account may be deemed by eBay not to be a hijacked account (or it’s not being shut down). If so, this is worrying.
So far I’m not sure whether this is a scammer-hijacker’s account or a measly inexperienced dropshipper, but I will be interested in looking further.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Countess. I reported this seller 5 days ago, and still nothing has been done about them.
Item number 374781964425. A noteworthy feedback score............not.

How does an account hijacker, now get paid via managed payments?
