I appreciate your sentiment, but come on, surely you don't believe spending 80% of your life on a forum is noteworthy or outstanding achievement lol

I guess the time could be better spent on ignoring eBay feedback policies?

Sadly, 80% of my life is spent at work. Some of us have jobs outside eBay and sometimes those jobs take up 200% of our lives. Sometimes even more, given the nature of the job.
I believe that 4channel has a job and life outside of eBay and I don't see why me congratulating him on his 1,000th post is of any relevance to you.

Thank you for coming to the aid of us honest sellers!!
You are so right that we need other options for cancelling.
I had to cancel an order as I was in hospital emergency all weeked & buyer wanted item sent immediately even though I had 5 days handling on it as I knew I needed time. Now they are sending me abusive messages saying I had no right to cancel.
I really needed another option but had to use incorrect address so I could cancel order.
Now to make matters worse I see this buyer leaves quite disgusting negative feedback & receives bad follow up feedback regarding her very rude abusive behaivour
Sellers cannot win😒

I would just like to point out some bad news, in case you were unaware.
If you decide to perform a "Local Pickup", ebay will not cover you at all if the seller does not hand over the goods.
It could very well be that the seller now has evidence due to your communications that you opted for "Local Pickup" and has taken advantage of choice.
You can still however, report the seller to eBay for acting unethically, and report the seller to the Police as a crime of fraud.
By doing so, you will at least contribute to keeping eBay an ethical place to trade. And your mistake, even though costly, was worth something.
Also be careful who you take advice from in these forums, as most of them are sellers, and do not have your best interest in their agenda(s).

haven't the police got enough on their plate without having to investigate a seller who doesn't let you pick up your item when you arrive?
Maybe if enough eBayers make a Police complaint the will open a new division . . . the TSFE Squad!

Any buyer who chooses local pick up is mad if they don't just pay cash when they go to pick the item up.
That way the buyer has all the control....if the item is not as described they can just walk away without any repercussions.
And for the record.....I am not a seller.....I give advice according to ebay rules, not slanted towards buyers or sellers.

Personally, I don't know if the Police have enough on their plate. Sorry I cannot help you with that question.
May you investigate and find out, and then get back to us with the data.
Unless you were just instigating mocking harangue, in which case I still cannot help you.

I'm not a seller either, the FAR greater problem is with posters with limited knowledge of eBay's policies posting misinformation, out of date information or outright incorrect information.
Ring any bells ?
