Seller failed to deliver.

Hi all, bid and won an item yesterday, fair and square, paid by Paypal, next thing I get a cancellation request from the seller, wanting to cancel, as I failed to pay by bank deposit. He does not have card facilities, he claims just bank deposit or nothing, yet when I confirmed the listing, Ebay has it that he does accept Paypal, but he I found he does not have a Paypal account, which by the rules he must have, or at least a card facility. So, I go in and check my Paypal payment, and yes, he doesn't have an account, as it was marked that the buyer hasn't claimed the payment. I realized this was going nowhere, so I just cancelled the payment within Paypal. He got what he wanted, for the sale to be cancelled, doing so, wasting my time. After the auction ended I got an abusive message from him about demanding bank deposit, not Paypal, and said he would just 'keep the item''. I asked why he wanted bank deposit only, was it that the item, a model train, was defective, even though he listed it as ''used, but new'', whatever that means. I told him that buyers like to have a bit of protection from seelers such as him, and bank deposit leaves us buyers out in the cold when things go belly up. Anyway, the best part to this little event is this: He had another listing to ''go off' later last night, I got straight in before that and put a torpedo right into his dashboard. The item had 12 bids on it and was sitting at $165, an hour before it was due to end. It ended with the same bidder and didn't get past the $165. The winning bidder was a low score buyer that has had many bid cancellations in the last 6 months. I feel much better about this wasted  time now lol

I have it on good authority the 8-fb score bidder from the cancelled listings wasn't shilling, but the 15 (now 16)-fb score one might have been, so it will be interesting to see if they pop up again in any of the current auctions.

You're telling me the 8 was a serious buyer? bidding on a picture on a computer screen?

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

As he is showing he wont give up, I did raise enough anger to call Ebay AGAIN yesterday, and was assured yet AGAIN that he would be booted off, as what they could see he was doing ''was serious breaches of the Ebay rules'' etc etc. At least he doesn't appear to be selling anything or trapping anyone in his little snare . He must have googled how to crop a screen shot, but you can still see it's on a screen. lol. He cant even count, listing a group of wagons, but showing only part of the count. I am starting to think this ''seller'' may have some serious mental issues and really requires help. I mean, if you were stuck for money, why would you list little plastic toys worth coins, when you also have model locmotives worth hundreds? The latest one he has listed, the 42 class loco, is a top brand, and sells in the shops for around $330. Yet another screen shot . Yes, this is becoming a huge face smack for all honest sellers on Ebay, allowing this to take place after THREE reports by myself.  IMO it downgrades their credibility.

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

They are still trying, listing, bidding, taking down. I and a few mates are bombarding him with questions, he cant even reply with correct english spelling. Gets very agro when asked a standard question, such as, where is the packaging for this so called ''new'' item? He has learnt to crop now, but still a dead givaway. Moron.

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

Have one of your mates ask the seller outright if he's planning on bidding on his own items again like he did with his previous (now closed) account.

See how he replies to that one.

EDIT: And if he denies knowing what you're talking about, send him a link to the feedback page of his previous account and ask him if that was his previous seller ID.

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

Hi, not sure how to get that link now that the old account is closed? That would  be good to hit him with.  Funny how his wording and spelling on this new account is identical to what I remember about the old one. What a tool he must be.

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

It will be interesting to see how high the Pennsylvania set goes for. There is a new high bidder and I have a sneaking suspicion they might bid pretty high.....having 0 feedback and all...

Re: Seller failed to deliver.

He is still doing his stuff, listing, pulling, lying, and it looks like Ebay is just letting him go do what he wishes. Maybe I should call them again and ask for a supervisor, it has been a waste of time online chatting, might try a verbal phone call, that way I can state the case more directly without them being distracted by other ''chat'' calls. See how we go later this morning. If it wasn't so serious, I would just give up on it, but this one has got me fired up to a level where I want him gone.
