Seller posted me a fake item, which was a complete fraud.

Seller offered genuine item roughly 30$ cheaper then anywhere else. Item he posted turned out to be a well known very poor quality copy of the genuine item. I lodged a dispute with paypal and was refunded full purchase in under 2 days.

Ive still got the item??What do i do with it? I,ve had no notification from anyone ((paypal, seller,or ebay) as to how or where to return it.

I,ll glady send it back but have no intention on paying for his postage for the heap of **bleep**.

Yeah but i bet you guys dont copy and paste the item description including serial numbers and warranty details and photos.

Straight from the manufactors website, and claim this is what your selling.

And then post out the exact oppersite.

What i received in the mail was a toatal insult

Seller posted me a fake item, which was a complete fraud.

So while you are all annoyed, why not report the offending item?

In the listing go to -Report

Category- Copyright & Trademark

Reason- Counterfeit item

Detailed- Counterfeit,fake,replica

Continue.

Not as much fun as smashing something with a hammer, but less risk of a bit of it flying up & hitting you in the eye.

If the manufacturer detects fake then they will contact eBay & the listing would be removed very quickly. with a policy violation.

OP, is this feedback for the item you are talking about ?

If not it's a little odd anyway.

Great communication, Genuine item. Best price and fast postage . Thanks heaps A+

Follow-up
Fake item was sent, cheap poor quality copy, Sold as Launch box by other sellers

Your rapid PayPal win was not so much PayPal quickly ruling in your favour but

more likely the Seller agreeing to refund and selecting:

Grant full refund and allow buyer to keep item.

Check if the genuine people belong to eBay's VERO program http://www.vero.com Scroll down and see if their name is there. If it is, go back and report the listing again and if it's the option I''m thinking of, you can leave a comment. Write something like "see VERO program". That is usually enough for them to act.

In regards to my fake items, they are listed as such and the photos even include a photo of the word 'copy' on it. It implies it in the title and then enforced in the description, so if someone bought one and then tried to go me for it being a fake, I can prove I did nothing wrong as far as the listing goes. I would never list a fake item without advertising it as fake. Anyone who does is a complete nutter!!

Seller posted me a fake item, which was a complete fraud.

I bought a Mac eyeshadow pallete with 180 colours. I hadn't used Mac before, after receiving the item I showed it to a friend who told me Mac don't make pallets with 180 colours. So I wrote to Mac who confirmed this. I forwarded this to Paypal who told me to destroy the item as fake items are not allowed to be posted. I took a picture of the destroyed pallet, sent it to Paypal and was refunded in full.

Yeah i know I gave feedback before item arrived (first time in 12 years of buying on ebay)

because id been in comunication with the seller before, actually thanked him for eccepting my offer.

For the simple reason that i couldnt believe ebay would openly allow fraud and fakes to be sold

as genuine.

Count hes feedback its seems to be rabidly dissapearing

Sorry uncle_acid.

I wasn't having a shot. It just seemed odd.

I have to laugh whenever I see 'Not allowed to post counterfeit items' because

AusPost's ONLY restriction is based on whether or not goods are dangerous.

I think it's become an eBay urban myth.
