I ordered for an item more than 2 weeks ago and the estimated delivery time was in 3-4 business days. I read that sometimes the estimation isn't accurate and the status was always "awaiting collection x post" so I didn't contact the seller straight away. After waiting a week after the estimated delivery time, I contacted the seller and the seller asked if I could contact the post office or collect it myself.
The post office said seller's put down the wrong suburb AND post code. I've only had one address so I have no idea how they could get it wrong. It's being redirected now but it's annoying because by the time it reaches me, it's too late, I won't need it anymore. it. Is this grounds to ask for a refund? Would I have to post it back? I feel like it's unfair if I have to pay for postage back when it wasn't my fault. Also, will sellers usually block you for asking for a refund?

As it was awaiting collection and you did nothing, I doubt you would have a case.
Resell it, would be my advice.

Hi, thanks! Before it said "awaiting collection", it had the "Returned to seller" status. When it says "awaiting collection", doesn't that mean it's awaiting the post office to collect it to send it to me since the address it was supposed to post to was my home address? That's how I interpretted as seeing as the location it was awaiting collection was pretty far from my home. So for future reference, if it's awaiting collection, does that mean I have to go and collect it myself? I hardly buy off ebay so I don't really know how it works, sorry if it's a stupid question

What if I got neither of the 4? The only text I got was about a parcel being delivered the next day. When I called the post office about not receiving it, I don't have a parcel for collection and they (my local post office) hasn't received it yet

You don't have to be a member of ebay plus to open a dispute.....everyone is entitled to get their items safely and as described.
