I recently bought a ps4 console from a seller. He was a new seller with 0 feedback.
Since i had been scammed in a similar transaction before, i asked him if he was genuine and that the console is the real deal.
Then he seems to have been offended.
I later apologised and explained my past experiences
Then he shipped the item but told me since i was rude to him (which i did not) that i can forget about the tracking number and just wait for the package.
But the problem is that i usually have my stuff sent to an auspost parcel collection point and not my home address (easier that way)
And now with no tracking, i will have no idea if the package got to the post office safely.
I tried to message him- both politely and some what aggressively (no swearing or anything)- but he is simply not replying.
What should i do now to deal with this seller

You warned others not to buy of this ******* (sharp pointy object) and I can only imagine the tone of your private communication with the seller when you carry on like that on a public forum.
You bought the item 2 days ago !!! and you left negative accusing him of basically being a scammer. Disgusting behaviour and I for one hope the seller realises he can get the neg removed because of the profanity.
Someone may come along and advise you how to proceed should the item not turn up, but I just don't feel in a very helpful mood right now.

Please tell me you did not pay with bank deposit as the seller insisted.
Looking at the date when the seller registered and when his listings ended, and reading the listings where he insists on bank deposit I would hazard a guess that you are never going to see the item. The refusal to give you a tracking number is just another way to lull you into a false sense of security and delay you taking any action.
In other words...you have been scammed.

What I said?
I tried to be subtle.
But since you asked - any seller who reads this post is likely to have added you to their Blocked Bidder List. A list that any seller has access to that prevents the nominated member (you) from bidding on or buying their items.

Yes the reasons already mentioned make this seller seem very suspect. I also noticed that the postage was to be in a 500gm satchel - wouldn't the item be too big for this anyway? It all sounds a bit odd, especially their reason for not wanting paypal purchases.
Oh and as the buyer I'd be a little agro with this seller too ..... but be careful with feedback.

out of the last 5 feedbacks you have left sellers, 4 of them were negative feedbacks within the last 3 weeks! not sure what's going on there!

Very odd that seller says Paypal is too slow - have always found it instant but a bank deposit can take days , True refunds to a buyer/seller take a bit longer depending on whether there is a problem to be investigated first. Straight forward refunds also seem to be an instant transfer so cannot see what the seller is talking about . I personally would not have gone any further after reading that on the sale site - must have been a very good price for someone to hand over that sort of money with no insurance.

Okay OP - you were scammed, and while I am still gobsmacked by your attitude to sellers in general NOW would have been the time for feedback, now that you realise there was a problem.
As Lyndal, who knows more about buying and eBay/paypal protocol than I ever could, went to the effort to check and see what has occured the only thing you can possibly do is hope this scammer is an idiot and is actually still using the bank account you foolishly paid into.
Go to the police with the information and they may be able to trace him/her, but it is more likely the bank account is now closed as will be his eBay account.
Couldn't hurt to try I guess.
