Hi I bought an item that costs 2600 and tge seller sent me wrong item. I sent him a msg about the problem but still got no reply. Should I open a case to return item or should I wait until the seller responds?

Effing Hell ๐ฃ is this thread STILL going? 101 responses and still countingโฆโฆ for goodness sake!
Caitโฆ. So you bought another harp off eBay. We ALL REMEMBER the previous harp threadโฆ. And here you are again with another one! So tell me, is it actually worth the financial savings?
STOP BUYING EXPENSIVE HARPS VIA EBAY PLATFORM AND START BUYING FROM THE ACTUAL WEBSITE!!!!!
Cut out the middle man.
Preferably, walk into a music store to buy a harp, but youโve stated you donโt have that option.
โฆโฆ(I find that hard to believe, even if I had to drive 3hrs to do that, I would, especially when parting with that sort of money, and looking for quality!)
AND FOR GOODNESS SAKEโฆ.. READ EBAYS RETURN POLICY AND GUIDELINES!!!!!! โฆ.. so frustrating!!
If you canโt find a second hand harp, then obviously youโre looking in the wrong places. Sheesh ๐
P/Sโฆ. If I was a courier, I wouldnโt be lugging a harp up stairs to your front door eitherโฆ. Just saying!

Still going... lol
Just warming up.
The OP likes to do things the hard way... last harp ran to 172 replies.
Wonder what happened to that harp after it arrived.

I live on ground floor. What I find so disgusting is that they didn't even call me when they put authority to leave without my consent. Also experience with previous harp seller was frustrating but in the end I was satisfied with the quality of the harp so I didn't find buying harp from ebay that bad. This time I trusted more because I'm buying from australian music store not pakistan but they actually let me down big time.
I'm telling you there is no affordable harp available in australia other than in ebay
also I've seen many ads where people try to rip people off selling second hand harps (just not worth the money they advertise for)

Seller sent me this msg
"Just got a response from the supplier, apparently the listing has changed slightly so that the harp has 31 levers, they've sent through revised photos and I've updated the listing.
They said that they don't open the boxes when these are received from Pakistan, so any dirty marks would come from there and just wouldn't have been noticed unfortunately.
Happy to accept a return again, they just had to emphasise that "it needs to be packed really really really carefully as they're super fragile". "
Why do you I get a feeling they would deduct my refund blaming on damage during poor transit? Afterall they are at loss from posting this and having to have to pay for return

How could they blame any damage on you.
You have just stated ' they don't open the boxes ' - so have no idea of the condition.
Keep that message. lol

Maybe they just want to avoid problems for both of you?
If the harp really arrived damaged, they would have to provide photos, just as buyers have to provide photos when they claim an item arrived damaged.
Just pack it really carefully as they request, send them a photo and ask if it is OK.

So you've had 2 out of 2 harp purchases (that we know of) on eBay that have not gone well, and you don't feel that buying a harp on eBay is that bad ????
You should get your money back from the seller without any problems, so long as you've taken photos of the harp and the packing. BUT you are very unlikely to get the harp you wanted in the first place, and I suspect that the seller will have put you on their Buyer Blocked List so you won't be buying from them in the future.

Paper - it has been stated ' they do not open the boxes ' - therefore they have no idea in what condition the harp was when sent - what condition on arrival - let alone - sent back in.
But I would photo it anyways
