Hi everyone,
I bought an item on the 1st December and seller stated that it would be posted within 3 days of money clearing. It is now the 10th and the seller has not sent item and has not responded to my messages for the last 3 days. Yesterday i asked him to contact me or I would contact Paypal and open a claim. Before I contact paypal now, i am just checking that this is the correct procedure.
Thanks
Platty

Please cut a little slack to the seller, there could be a multiple of reasons you have not yet had communication. The Southwest of Victoria was recently blacked out in entirety from a Telstra Exchange fire, which meant that we woke up one morning several weeks ago with no landline, no internet, no emails, no mobile network, no EFTPOS, nothing! This lasted for two and a half weeks, until I was finally able to recommence communicating with those who had purchased off us within that period (hundreds). Sure a few people were grumpy, as they had no knowledge of what was going on, but everyone was great in the end, once I explained what our predicament was (& 60000 others in the same boat), I'm not saying that this is the same situation, but just remember, things happen, people get sick, computers get viruses and unforeseen issues arise. I really dislike this mentality where people get stuck into another, the moment something doesn't go their way in life.

"Up to date on my purchase, i have been waiting for a response to the three messages i sent before writing original post. And i still havent received any messages back"
"And now the posting has dissappeared off my history"
platty510,
If I remember correctly, the HK Seller had bad feedback didn't he ?
Has the listing been removed by eBay ?
Is the Seller still registered ?
If it was a good seller, I'd suggest that you wait a bit longer but in this particular case, I recommend that you log on to Paypal , open a Dispute and escalate to a claim as soon as the system allows.

Thankyou Silversterio,
Yes Fb was around 95% when i bought item. And yes he is a HK seller. I have just checked "My Ebay" again, and the listing has reappeared, there must have been a issue earlier. Funny though, all my other listings where there only this one was gone. At the time I did an advanced search and couldnt even find his sale listings etc, (for anything) or even his name as a seller. I can find him now.Anyway, I will wait longer. Thankyou for your time.

he only has 95%fb and you still purchased from him ???????????wow... that is a very very low fb% according to eBay. 98% is the minimum fb rating required for Powerseller or Trusted Seller ratings.

platty, the reason that you could not find the listing earlier is that it was Friday afternoon and the ebay gremlins were at work.
Friday afternoon is maintenance time on ebay and ANYTHING can happen.
Half my Watched Items List was MIA this afternoon but it is back now.

Did you read the seller's shipping information:
All items will be shipped out within 2-5 business days (handling time) after payment received.
Usually, it takes about 8 - 22 business days for delivery to worldwide, depends on buyer's location and your country custom rules.
During peak periods or holidays , the delivery times may vary.
So even if they were one of the best sellers you should not expect delivery any time soon, they clearly say it could be up to 27 days under normal circumstances and this is the peakest of peak times.
They may have dreadful feedback and I suspect you will be better off if nothing arrives so you can get a refund without having to pay to ship their rubbish back to HK but you cannot complain about the delivery time until at least 5 weeks have gone by.

Another thought - was your paypal payment immediate, if it was an e-chq they have been known to take more than 7 days at times to clear into the sellers account. Just a thought
