Cashconverters - why not go to Woolies.
Unless you order online they don't charge postage from Canada.

Helen, Michelle has to go to the pawn shop (Cash Converters) to get some money to buy food for the pets. Woolworths would be my choice but I am guessing she will buy from overseas again.

@michellebartley wrote:Well low and behold another parcel has mysteriously disappeared from my front doorstep (they say lightning does not strike twice in the same place) this was nearly 2 weeks ago. I did see the courier leave it at the door as I was sitting in my loungeroom and heard next door neighbour snatch it from him she had flown out of her door like a giant horrible Bat. Next thing another neighbour(male) a real decripid looking thing
4 door away from me walks past my loungeroom and he has the parcel in a bag. The contents of parcel was pet food Been to police nothing, told landlady also and she couldnt care a less . So this weeek have to go to a pawn shop to get some money to rebuy the items again. I am utterly in shock by all this. Also Post Office dont want to know about it. What will I tell seller? Parcel has been stolen,,,,,I dont want this on my Ebay record.I cant get a refund actuallys it would be illegal. It is a matter between the post office and myself. Please any suggestions...this attitude ain"t right.
It's Christmas time, and I'm feeling in the festive spirit...
I'm happy to donate a variety of Australian sealed dry cat food packets that I have in the cupboard, posted in a 3kg eBay satchel (with of course SOD).
That is of course if it was indeed cat food that went missing?
Your posts throughout the year have brought a smile to my face!

I don't think Michelle is serious about "going to the pawn shop". That's a pretty old-fashioned expression ........

Whether Michelle was serious or not, does she really expect us to believe that the courier left the parcel at her front door and then had it snatched from his hands by the next door neighbour? It must have been one or the other. And then the neighbour from 4 doors away stole it from the "bat" from next door?
Come on Michelle, at least make the stories believable.
On the slim chance that one version of the story is true, ring the courier company and tell them what has happened and ask why the courier did not ring your doorbell. If the neighbour really did snatch the parcel from the courier as you say, then he would have reported it to his comapny and the police, so it sounds unlikely.

cathy michelle might want to pawn some things ,not prob sell them.you cant pawn on ebay , she must want to get it back some day. when she pays in full with interest.

The interest is the killer.
Just a suggestion, Michelle, have you ever thought of buying normal food for your numerous pets. I am prepared to guarantee they don't care how much you paid or where you got it from.
Ps: I wouldn't hassle the landlord too much. You are exceptionally lucky to find one who allows pets, much less the many you claim to have.
Pps: If the cat/s is/are hungry you could reduce your costs by feeding it/them some/all of the rodents. The cat/s would probably appreciate live food more than stuff from Canada.

I'm betting the landlord doesn't know about the pet mice.
What landlord would allow pet mice? Of all pets to allow?

Michelle, I have had a parcel stolen from my front door seconds after it was dropped. I know it was definitely delivered as I was in bed, heard the footsteps, heard it dropped on the ground. I was expecting it that day as it was sent express and the contents were metallic, which was the sound it made when it hit the ground. A few seconds later I heard footsteps again. I got out of bed a few minutes later, went to the door and the package was gone. I live in a house, not a flat.
It is because of that I have just bought a CCTV system. If you don't want to get a PO box, which is the most logical option, I would seriously think about installing a camera over your front door, or in a position where the front door can be seen. You can get a single camera for under $100, which you can hook up to your computer or TV. You can also look at it on your phone anywhere in the world. For not much more you can get them that record onto an SD card, so if detects anything untoward, you have evidence to take to the police. For not much more than that, you can get them with an actual recorder, like a set top box.
I know that money is obviously tight at the moment if you are talking about going to the hock shop, but I really think it would give you peace of mind, especially if you go out somewhere. If you buy from a shop you might be able to lay by. There are some sellers on eBay who will let you pay items off too, so worth looking at them also.
