Shady neighbour

Friday 7.45am I think possibly my Ebay parcel may have been nicked from my front door as I heard and saw courier attempting to deliver it. Think it would have been Australia post contractor (also viewed a scuffle with someone) then saw courier leave to get back into post van, went to check for parcel but no luck. Parcel from Canada, no track number. Saw somebody grab courier by his top, positive it was female attacking him . Would have been person who lives in my block of flats. Saw all this from my loungeroom window. Could anyone advise me what to do at all? I have home contents insurance. I am hoping courier put parcel back into van due to the trouble. Very very distressing. Would have run to front door but was in pyjamas. Spoke with post office this morning personally but they did not seem that concerned. Any good ideas about what I can do?

I wonder if they ever enforce that rule? I've seen a few buyers that leave a lot of bad feedback saying "never arrived received refund". Maybe those few just slipped under the radar or they only got one refund and the rest of the feedback was duplicated.

G'day Tippy , I know of one that was NARU'd for it, so they do act but how often they do it is anyone's guess .

The Ombudsman enquiry was cancelled by me and no I did not chase

seller for refund, I thought it better to just sit back and see if parcel was delivered. The seller never mentioned it was Surface Mail even though I paid for air mail. Itr was from Canada. Seller now knows item is delivered as I emailed them and they were rather nonchalant about the whole thing. All I have ended up is with two of the same item as I got so annoyed I bought same item from another seller. So I now have a spare.

I have contacted Postal Industry Ombudsman about the 1st missing item so will have to just wait til the P.I.O gets back to me about what can be done maybe possibly hopefully the Post Office will have to reimburse me the amount of the parcel but I think normally the P.I.O. only deals with lost item not sure about incompetence by a postal worker. Ebay said not a lot they can do about 1st item as it is U.S. Ebay and I would have to ring them in morning about it. I already told US seller the situation and they were utterly gob smacked. Got a refund from 2nd item luckily through Ebay and explained the situation as best I could to them

michelle, please explain this bit of this post from back in December i.e. did you get a refund for a package you have eventually received, even if it was only recent days ago?

Uuumm. I am sure I got refunded. Would have to look it up.
Recently had an item cancelled by seller and was refunded then it was delivered so now I have to pay the seller again. Oh well never mind.
