Shipped item not getting to Global Shipping Centre

Greetings and salutations,

I have just purcahsed an item which will be delivered via the GSP from the US to Australia. As per usual the item was sent to Erlanger (via UPS) and tracking showed it delivered there shortly after. Looked to be going smoothly but here it gets weird, a few hours later it has more UPS scans, travelling to nearby regions (Columbus and Cincinnati) for the next two days before again being delivered to Erlanger. Again, no notice of it being procesed through the GSP but a day later it again is travelling to Cincinnati. What on earth is going on? Anyone experiences anything similar?

Are you sure it was shipped with UPS....that is a courier company, not the USPS postal service?

It is anybody's guess where it is going.....in my experience once GSP items are in the postal system they can go all over the country before finally arriving in Erlanger KY, often taking several weeks.  There have also been a few reports of items going overseas before returning to Erlanger.

I would just wait for a week or so and see what happens.  Most people who try to follow up their deliveries before they are even delivered to Erlanger  end up bashing their heads against a brick wall.

Thanks for the reply, it's definitely UPS as I was given a UPS tracking number. Hopefully I am jumping the gun but I'm just worried that I'm up to my 2nd delivery notification by UPS and am still seeing scans.
