Item Number: 223577589424
This listing of a Nintendo Switch comes across as a definite scam with an unusally low price, quantity of 100 and, pictures and description stolen from some UK online store. Even so, I see that 82/100 have been sold which brings me to doubt whether this is a scam or just a lot of people falling for one. Could someone confirm for me?

There is no helping some people. I am now convinced the world has gone mad. In 12 minutes, it's now up to 263. Sadly, I've stopped feeling sorry for these people. Even if you could tell them it was a scam, they'd still buy it. Same as those idiots who keep throwing money at the Nigerians, even when they are told they are being scammed.
Instead of now giving an amount sold, it's not telling you how many are sold per hour. I really need to start doing this shyt!!! I feel I'm being ripped off, by not ripping off the gullible!
Now up to 266 since I started this post 2 minutes ago. I'm even more convinced people are so gullible, in a time when people should be more careful than ever!
Now 267.

Maybe we could share an account and go halves?
Although, 2 minutes now without a sale........maybe it might not be so lucrative?

I could be wrong, but I think the listing has been removed. I refreshed the page to get a buy amount update and got an error page saying it looks like that page is missing.
I reported it after my first comment in this thread as being fraudulent and also saying something along the lines of messing with the site (can't remember the exact thing, but it implied something like hacking the site, but I selected it anyway).
We looked everywhere.
Looks like this page is missing. If you still need help, visit our help pages.

I haven't seen the listing but I am wondering if the very number sold is actually helping to convince newish ebay buyers that the seller is legit.
When you see an item with 267 previous sales, it could look like a regular, steady seller.
For me, I'd be looking up their feedback and if they had very little or none for that product, that would give me immediate pause, it would strike me as suspicious..
Hundreds of new items at well under retail would also make me wonder if the items, even if available, were fakes, cheap knock offs.
I think there are a certain number of buyers out there who might suspect fakes and don't care, as long as it's cheap, but haven't looked beyond that to a bigger scam where they might get nothing.
And there are some other more experienced buyers of usually good intelligence (I know of one as I had to work hard to convince her not to bid under any circumstances on an item some time ago) who are willing to take a risk even if you outright tell them it's a scam with no item, because their response is, "I can just get my money back if i don't get it."
Makes me shudder as so much can go wrong with that.

The scammer is at it again. After having the other one removed, he's now listed a playstation. So far 21 sold with 100+ views per hour. First one sold at 5.02am.

It takes a fair bit of hounding from members to convince them an account has been hijacked. It will be interesting to see how long this one takes to get removed.
Given the account only has one feedback for selling, I suspect any PayPal account attached to it, even if it's the scammers, will have the funds on hold for 21 days. Unless of course, that's not the case in Asian countries (where a large proportion of the scammers seem to hail from).

You'd think ebay would just close the account....or is that too easy?
It is on a weekend and as it's a UK seller it's still Sunday there (the "security" staff that they have on the weekends
have always been limited in what they are allowed to do so they generally take longer to act).
It's like the apprentices are in charge.
