Trying to Log in to Buy an item

I did post this in site issues, but no one answered it, or many others questions for that matter, area maybe not visited that much ?

Hello, first time asker.  Whenever l log into ebay now, l get old ebay email accounts that come up with my regular log-in choice. These never came up before on the little log-in screen box, now since the last two weeks l have had all my old ebay id. & account id. email addy's show on the screen as well.  Strange ????   Have the ebay techo people been tinkering again ???

How do l make all these old disused account id's. go away, please ???  Any help would be great, thanks.

You posted this question in Site Issues just 6 hours ago  and it is the middle of the night here.

You will probably get some answers in the morning.

I get both my IDs appear when I log in....I just choose the one I want.   But no email addresses.

I would suspect browser issues rather than ebay.

If it was an ebay problem there would be a lot more members coming here to complain.

Have you tried clearing cookies and cache and rebooting your computer?  If you are using IE try Chrome or Firefox...they are more ebay friendly.

If you happen to find the source of the problem, can you please post it here? I've had the very same trouble for almost a week now and as usual, nothing has been changed on my PC. Given that it's happening with ALL email addresses and not just those allocated to eBay, I suspect it may be an issue with either Outlook Express itself, or possibly even my ISP (Optus).

Has anybody else experienced this problem recently?

No problems here CQ, like lyndal I get my old ID come up when logging in but just choose the new one.

I'm using both Firefox and Chrome with Telstra mobile broadband.

No problem here CQ and I ave the same combination as you.....Outlook Express and Optus.

Yes, cq_tech will post hear what ebay tell me, if they know themselves, no guarantee.

I was kind of hoping that others had been similarly affected but it seems not, so if you happen to learn anything of value from eBay (which I seriously doubt) then a heads-up would be appreciated. Thanks to all the others who verified that the problem is likely one of my own making. 😞
