Trying to Log in to Buy an item

I did post this in site issues, but no one answered it, or many others questions for that matter, area maybe not visited that much ?

Hello, first time asker.  Whenever l log into ebay now, l get old ebay email accounts that come up with my regular log-in choice. These never came up before on the little log-in screen box, now since the last two weeks l have had all my old ebay id. & account id. email addy's show on the screen as well.  Strange ????   Have the ebay techo people been tinkering again ???

How do l make all these old disused account id's. go away, please ???  Any help would be great, thanks.

I was kind of hoping that others had been similarly affected but it seems not, so if you happen to learn anything of value from eBay (which I seriously doubt) then a heads-up would be appreciated. Thanks to all the others who verified that the problem is likely one of my own making. ๐Ÿ˜ž

To cq_tech, l spoke to a CS rep. who told me that with the ebap/paypal separation, they are grouping users accounts to the right holder. Some may see all their previous accounts listed and email address, others may not. She said that is all they have been told, and knew little outside of that. She had no idea how to delete them from the screen. Thankyou for calling ebay today, is there anything else that we can help you with ?  have a nice day.

Yes you were right, limited info coming out, just standard text book answer.  Sorry, l tried for both of us. We know even less than we did in the begining, very disappointing. cheers.

No problems here CQ, like lyndal I get my old ID come up when logging in but just choose the new one.

I'm using both Firefox and Chrome with Telstra mobile broadband.

I have My eBay and the discussion boards as bookmarks on both FF and Chrome and log in through those.

This is the only ID that comes up when using FF and my other ID is the only one that comes up when using

More lessons of life from the book of ebay, chapter 22 verse 36, "And all will be a revelation to the ebayers.........".

We live and see new things everyday, this is better than reality TV.  Actors are about the same though.

No problem here CQ and I ave the same combination as you.....Outlook Express and Optus.

Well Lyndal, I'm extremely loath to say "I fixed it" but I've finally somehow managed to get everything working again as it's meant to (no thanks to eBay). It ultimately took several hours but in desperation I removed all of my user IDs and email addresses from both Optus and eBay then recreated everything from scratch.

When finished it looked no different from before, but it is now functioning as it's meant to. This whole business has frustrated the buggery out of me because it's just as likely that whatever fault existed was fixed by eBay while I was rewriting all my setup files and in fact I've fixed nothing at all.

I can still remember when eBay used to be fun. Now it's nothing more than a pain in the ar$e. Smiley Indifferent
