Unable to do purchase!

When I pay for items, it is processed via my Visa card (you can also have it drawn from your bank account)so Saturday I lost the card and had it cancelled.Had one an item won through bidding so couldn't pay cause of cancellation of card. Have contacted Paypal and got them to add my bank account so as I can do the purchase.Will have to wait two days before this is active to use. What a drag.

Ah, you didn't get to meet the best of the Canadians....you should have gone to Manitoba for that.

While I do agree with your assessment of Canadians in general you are not dealing with the ordinary Canadian on the street here....you are dealing with ebay and if there is one thing they don't do well that would have to be "helpful".

  Reminds me of a student I had once (I'm a driving instructor).  She constantly argued with me that she didn't have to STOP at a STOP sign if there was nothing coming !  She was exasperating to say the least.  Anyway, on the day of her driving test we had the usual disagreement, so I 'suggested' it would be best if she clarified the rule with the Driving Examiner prior to the test - hehehe, ( I knew it would be a definite heads up to the driving examiner  !).  After she disputed the rule with him also, and after several clarifications from him, off they drove.  5 minutes later they were back - yep you guessed it - she FAILED to stop at not one but two STOP signs !!

Some people just don't get it !!

I messaged the seller yesterday about the date change!! Got message back today which said "if not paid on Monday I will give you a non bidding buyers strike but I will not touch it till Tuesday" so maybe I will be safe. Who knows! I messaged back and thanked them and also remarked "looking forward to receiving item".

I got my card now and have verification code (had to ring bank for it as it hasn't appeared yet on my on-line statement) then I hope I can use it to do this transaction cause I am running out of time very quickly. I am also quizzical as to whether the Visa will be accepted as echeque wasn't. I did have this problem once on Ebay a few years back and this is only 2nd time it has happened. All this, plus I am arranging to move this week to a new flat.

My Visa is linked to my Paypal A/C michelle so it shouldn't be a problem.
