No, hero. I didn't know that Paypal will give me a refund. That does not indicate/prove/imply that I knew Paypal give refunds. Keep trying.

That is the main advantage of using paypal, that if you don't get your item, you can make a claim on paypal for your money back.
Paypal will take it out of the seller's account, whether the seller is happy about that or not. That is, as long as paypal are convinced you have a legit claim.
The only thing to remember is there is a time limit on it so you only get 45 days after purchase to put in your claim.
I guess what it means as far as ebay goes is that if you don't receive an item within, say, a month, put in a claim even if the seller is saying they will post another item etc etc. Don't let a seller give you the run around past that 45 day period.
Where the paypal claim system falls down though is in items that have a longer time period for redemption.
For instance, (this wasn't on ebay though) I bought an online voucher to make a photobook album and it was valid for 6 months I think it was. The company sent the voucher no worries. But then, by sheer luck, I found out about a month later that the company had gone into receivership!!
I immediately claimed and was refunded the money. I had to wait a few days after lodging my claim to give the company time to reply to paypal and because they didn't, I automatically got my refund after that.
But I have heard of people getting vouchers then trying to redeem down the track and getting nowehere, so buying vouchers on paypal is something you need to really check out as in is the business you are buying it from a well known one & likely to be able to honour their voucher.
