Warranty Claim

Hello from Huma,
I purchased Iphone December last year with 1 year warranty. The phone is not working. Its been 3 months I am trying to contact seller but I haven’t received response back. I requested if ebay could help me to claim my warranty but for some reason ebay is not even able to contact the seller.
Who am I supposed to get help from???
Cant ebay reimburse me the repairment cost for the phone or give me a refund ???

Re: Warranty Claim

Unless you bought from a registered reseller you would have trouble getting satisfacion on any warrenty, especailly if you bought from overseas. iphones (and other items that you want a warrenty from like electrical items) should not be bought online, or if they are you should only by from a reputible Australian based business, not on Ebay.

Re: Warranty Claim

Went to manufacturer, Apple said warranty is expired and it will cost me $449 to repair the phone.

Re: Warranty Claim

There you go. You're sort of lucky - it seems you got a real one. Most 'iphones' sold online tend to be fakes and there is no warranty.

eBay cannot and will not reimburse you anything - their claims period is about a month after delivery. Paypal's is 6 months, but you've missed that too.

if it is worth it to you, pay for the phone to be repaired. As a matter of interest, did you pay full retail?

Otherwise buy a new phone from a reputable seller. Maybe Apple. They don't discount their phones, but their accredited resellers don't either.

Re: Warranty Claim

There is no such thing as a free or cheap item.

You get what you pay for, that has always been the case.

Only buy electronics from large stores that have a vested interest.

It is the best chance of getting satisfaction with a warranty.

If you bought from an Asian seller the phone was more than likely not new at all, but a refurbished one.
