Purchased three pairs of jeans from a seller who had good rating, months on have not received the items. The items have a tracking number but it shows it is just a label and hasn't been shipped. Contacted the seller and they said it was strange and would look into and fix but have not heard back from them. Have opened a case but eBay has closed it with no explanation, I appealed but it came back within minutes that it too was closed. Any ideas of what to try next as the value is almost $300.

I would open a case with PayPal.
I would escalate to a claim as soon as that option is available.
I would not allow the case to time out.
I would study the eBay Money Back Guarantee & take note of the time frame for future reference.
I would cease communication with the seller.

If it was the seller in the USA then they have terrible feedback....I would not have bought from them in a fit.
The reason ebay closed the case was that you left it far too long to open it in the first place....you should have opened it within 30 days of the last estimated delivery date.
Once a case is closed it cannot be reopened so your appeal was closed immediately too.
Your next step is to open a dispute in paypal.....you have 6 months for that but you need to follow the timeframes carefully or it will time out and be closed also and cannot be reopened.

All traces of the item have disappeared from eBay, so there is no way of making a link from eBay to PayPal (by choosing an image and so on).
PayPal itself, separately from eBay, does not seem to have a facility to make eBay-related claims.

Log into paypal....click on Help at the top of the page.
This will open a drop down menu on the right hand side....at the very bottom is a link to the Resolution Centre.
You need to find the payment in paypal, not in ebay.

Don't waste your time with PayPal unless you have to.
If paid by credit card then institute a charge back - this will place the onus on the seller to prove delivery has taken place.
