Why is leaving feedback such a pain?

I hate needing to leave a comment while also not having enough space to type anything meaningful.

Not only is this issue in the feedback but it's also in this question section, I wanted to put the above line in the subject with the main question but they simply don't give you enough space.

Looks to me like you

โ€˜got what you ordered on timeโ€™

I donโ€™t know as I have not experienced leaving feedback to be a chore

Sometimes it's difficult to condense your comments, but if you forget correct grammar and punctuation (which can be hard to do) and shorten words we find we can usually say all we want to in feedback.

Since many buyers leave us one or two word comments, you appear to be in the minority in wanting more space.

Instead of  'Got what I ordered and on time'    why not   'As described.  Fast post.'

Says the same thing.

And   'However'  is just an unnecessary long word for  'but'

Being succinct is the key.

It is certainly upsetting when I want to Charles-Dickens a seller and I'm forced to Hemingway my feedback instead.

I can't even imagine the anguish 80 characters gives you.

Ah well, I am often forced professionally to truncate... As a private citizen, 80 characters is torture! It's akin to the agony felt by the sister when the pigeons cried out,

Rucke di guck, rucke di guck,
Blut ist im Schuck:
Der Schuck ist zu klein,
die rechte Braut sitzt noch daheim.
