Why is the ebay sponsored Global Shipping Program so expensive? Looking elsewhere now

As  a regular buyer of American products, I am being forced to look elsewhere for them. The ebay shipping program, which unboubtedly is easy for sellers, is prohibitively expensive for lower priced products. A small item is regularly charged at $50. This is more than double what I would charge for the same service, and Australia is The Most Expensive Postal Service in the World.

US sellers, if you want our business, wise up and post the item yourselves.

I've seen 3 different versions of that type of log splitter Stalks but none of them appear to be as well made as the Choppers.

Don't think 4channel needs to re-think... here's a current listing in the UK... £104 ($185.00 AUD) for postage on a $10 or $15 item... ridiculous... Royal Mail charge for a 2kg package (way over what this weighs anyway - I know as I have the same speakers) is under £30....

You are comparing apples with pears Amelia, MY experience was with an item I actually bought and had delivered by the GSP 4channels rant was not.

If you had taken the time to read through the responses here you would have realised how buyers can contact the seller to input weight and dimensions of parcels, and the postage charges then usually drop considerably.

I second this motion. I buy a lot of pre loved handbags and it’s common for the postage to be two to three times the purchase price. If I bought new, I wouldn’t pay for shipping, so it often works out to be cheaper!
