Won a couple of items back at end of Feb from the same seller. Items still have not been posted.

Seller has not been responding via messages through Ebay.

on Friday i received an email from the sellers account claiming to be the mother of the seller saying the seller had died on 4/3/16.

It seems a bit odd but how do I tell if this is genuine or a scam?

What do I do about the items not posted?

Brand new to selling. Seller only had 4 items for sale. None now.

I would do as Kopes suggested in message #2 and give them the benefit

of the doubt

If it's the Nutrimetics they had some perfume bottles that didn't sell. Maybe someone could email the seller to see if they were still available, ie something along the lines of, "Hi I was interested in your Nutrimetics perfume bottles, but couldn't bid at the time. Are these still available?", if you get a response you could post back here if you get a reply. May provide an answer to the Op that something dodgy is going on. Just a thought!
