Hi , Everyone
I won the auction today on a chainsaw , I was very happy until I recieved 3 ebay messages from seller saying , i wont sell
at auction price. I did send a message back stating he should have canceeled the auction befor close, as he had no intention to sell it for less than his price, you guesed it still no answer. He is now wanting 260 dollars more for the item after auction. Any advice on what to do next would be grateful
Thanks, M

The older you get, the more difficult it is to start, maintain, service and try to lift the heavy petrol/electric mowers.

Awww Cathy. You can get one with an ignition, get a professional to service
it and they all have wheels - no lifting involved.
Or better yet, get someone in to mow it for you

Cathy I am sure my 72 year old husband will be interested to hear your opinion...not.
We only have a reasonably small front yard to mow but he sure as h*ll would not want to be using a push mower.
He wheels it out from the garage, rarely has any difficulty starting it, takes it to the local mower service centre when necessary.
As I said, when you turn 70 come and tell me how it is easier/better to use a push mower.

@cathyjoyjoy wrote:LOL ..... but seriously, I do not know why anyone would buy a petrol or electric mower. Unless you have a very large and/or complicated and/or undulating lawn, just get a real push mower. Good ones are less than $100. Minutes to get it out of the shed and 10 mins to completely mow a lawn weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Wait till you are in your 70s Cathy and then see if you still want to ask that question.
OH is 83 and still insists on using his archaic push pull mower when we are in Aus. He cuts the metres high hedge with manual clippers and still climbs up ladders to clean out the gutters himself. Hooking up with me was just another manifestation of his insanity LOL.

I was thinking of buying a mower, what do you think? A cheap Briggs n Stratton if it runs.
Kopes.
Four sheep would do the trick.
More time for culinary delights.
Or 4 cows. I'd like a cow. Or a pig. Actually having a pig you wouldn't need a mower because there'd be no grass left!

Hand raised pigs are usually pretty good. They're very smart and easy to train. You can even house train them! I know people who have a (rather large) pet pig who is an inside pet. She's more spoilt than most kids. Her favourite pastimes are watching TV and bashing up the dog. Her and the dog have a bed in the loungeroom and they sleep next to each other of a night. She normally hogs the lounge when watching TV (pun not intended).
