I rarely look at the cost of postage.....I search for the overall cost of Item + Postage Lowest First. Often the item I buy is far from the cheapest but the overall cost including postage is the cheapest.

Iโm puzzled.
Do you expect eBay to subsidise shipping from overseas locations for โbargainโ priced items?
The shipping cost is what it is. If you are buying from the USA or the UK the cost may be high because of the Global Shipping Program (GSP). However, the GSP costs are sometimes very high due to sellers not putting the size/dimensions and weight into the item specifics. I have had great success with sellers in the USA enabling the reduction in GSP shipping costs simply by inputting the dimensions and weight of the item into their listing.
In one such case the shipping dropped from around $90 to $30. The seller had no idea that their item was available for overseas purchase until I messaged them and requested that they input the dimensions and weight into their listing.

This is what irritates me when you do a google serch using the shopping tab. It list prices and ignores shipping. Hence often many of the "best prices" are US ebay items plus a big shipping costs. Not the fault of Ebay or the seller, its the google search engine ignoring shipping.
Is this what is annoying you?

Why do so many people, think everything has to be a bargain on ebay, and expect sellers to wave a magic wand and offer
ridiculously low postage prices. Somebody has to pay, No I don't like some of the prices either, but that is the way it is. Go and
protest to the worlds postal and courier companies about prices and then when they all go broke, you can complain about no items being delivered etc.

When ebay started out, it had a lot of mum & dad sellers with second hand items and a garage sale sort of atmosphere. Sometimes things were cheap, sometimes not, but they always had postage extra. People rarely bought from international ebay sellers though as paypal wasn't around.
Maybe that's when this misconception started that ebay was some sort of bargain place to shop. It might be if you're buying a second hand item & it still might be a good place to find things not readily available at your local store.
But what has ebay the company got to do with it? They're just the site owners who get commission for allowing people to post ads. They're not the sellers.
It's just another place to shop, no one ever promised everything would be a 'bargain' and ebay is chockers with professional sellers nowadays who will want some return for their effort. It's a business enterprise for them, same as it is on other sites or in stores.
Some of the international postage costs push things up too high to make it worth the bother so if that happens, buy local.

If you don't like the postage you don't buy it, it's as simple as that. eBay doesn't set the postage costs. It's the overall cost that counts, if you buy it, then you have accepted it, and have no furher cause for complaint.

This is eBay. The seller sets the price of the item and the postage cost. Nothing to do with eBay the company. You must be getting confused with another company starting with A, where it's the company that sells the items. On eBay, it's regular people who sell the items, not the company. People in homes (or businesses), who list items, sell them, package them, then take them to the post office.
