Really, really angry at how **bleep**py the search engine is now. A search every day in model building would bring up 100's of new hits every day but barely get 20 hits now, where are all the sellers? connecting buyers with sellers just got so much harder. Who ever came up with this new method had a real fart of an idea.

Covid-19 is probably more to blame than Ebay for the lack of sellers. I recently tried to buy again from saved sellers and discovered most had stopped selling in the last 12 months. I ended up deleting 15 from my saved seller list. I eventually found all the things I was looking for, although in some cases couldn't get exactly what I wanted.
Sick workers, distribution problems with drivers and less flights, are bound to have badly affected some Ebay businesses.

There's been many complaints about this in the US forum on ebay.com i've noticed.
Ebay messing up the categories ,removing lots of categories and so on.
Certainly isn't helping buyers & sellers find each other that's for sure

Sorry I didn't explain myself enough. under model building there used to be a search for military and under that I could search sea or aircraft, each of these would hold around 2000- 4000 items. military is now gone but there is ship and boat which now tonight had 78 hits and aircraft a similar number. Just not sure why they would eliminate a category that had large numbers. Thank you for your concern at my anger level

because ebay are 'messing with category structures' atm.....your dilemma may last for up to a fortnight....until all the sellers get on board and 'fix' according to ebay's very rigid structure....hang in there...it's carp for all of us

Ebay has removed many detailed selling categories in specialist areas - especially hobby, collectible, second hand-related in preference for broad categories that are apparently the way that people buy new consumer goods on ebay. They claim in the update that it will make the searching experience "more intuitive" for the buyers, but in reality saved searches have been lost and collectors browse by categories. A friend in the who has a professional account and concierge level service spoke to an ebay agent who said that ebay was trying to reduce the amount of clocks that buyers go through to find a product, but ebay does not seem to realise that specialist buyers and sellers navigate the site through categories.
You have every right to be angry
I would suggest that you channel your anger into contacting ebay customer service and contacting ebay's headquarters and filling out survey forms. Ebay needs to know how its users are thinking
