Did the seller write this within the actual request/case/dispute?
Reply to the seller that they must provide the postage label and that you do not have PayPal.
Assuming that you have enough time in the dispute (you have up to 21 business days from opening the request), you can give the seller another day or two, but after that just escalate the case by asking eBay to step in.
Orโฆ get on to Live Chat, explain that you are not comfortable giving the seller your email address for a postage payment, and that you want to work within eBayโs system by using an eBay-issued postage label.
I should stress that you must return to the address provided within the actual dispute. Unless you do so, you wonโt be refunded. You also must include the tracking number within the dispute - but of course, if you have an eBay-generated label, the tracking number events should be automatically updated within the dispute. Itโs all bot-driven.

if you are going thru a proper case within Ebay, the funds are returned to your account not some Paypal account.
It sounds like you arent working within a proper case, more just liasoning directly with the seller.

Hereโs the link for asking eBay to step in.
eBay say:
The option to ask eBay to step in should appear 3 business days after you opened the request.

I clicked on the link and I click on "see return details" and all I see is "Details" no where does it say STEP 3 ask ebay for help!!

Then contact eBay Live Chat and explain the situation.
On the bottom of the page to which I linked, thereโs the option to contact eBay (under Need more help?).

Have you actually opened a dispute for item not as described, or just conversing with the seller? If you haven't, then there will be no option to ask ebay to step in and help. If you haven't, open a dispute now. If the seller wants the item back, then they have no choice but to issue a postage label if they want it back. I suspect by the wording of the email, the seller is overseas and wants the item sent back there. They can't issue a postage label. They might suggest you pay for the return and they will refund................
Don't fall for it, and don't post back without the funds or label to do so. You will never be reimbursed for the postage. If the tracking shows as delivered and the seller hasn't refunded after a few days, ask ebay to step in and help. Remember to put the tracking number into the dispute.
Please keep us posted.
