Have been having issues with a seller for over a month.
How can we get eBay to contact us.
Desperately wanting item.

If you haven't received the item in that time, whether or not the seller 'helps' you except to send it, then you are not going to get your item.
Open an 'Item Not Received' case, if there is time. Otherwise open one through Paypal. That way you should get your money back.
eBay has policies and tools in place to overprotect buyers, so talking to them is pointless. You need to apprise yourself of those policies and use the tools provided.

The seller you left the neg for ? They are registered in Hong Kong and have terrible feedback, it's not advisable to buy electronic/electrical goods from Asian sellers - they are unlikely to comply with Australian electrical standards.
As said, don't delay, open a dispute with eBay's MBG and don't close it until you've been refunded.

To make a claim through paypal you have to have a paypal account even if you paid as a guest.

Dave was right.
No matter how much you want the item, it's pretty obvious you're not going to get it, not if the seller is still having 'issues' and hasn't even posted it.
Cut your losses, open an official ebay case & don't close till you get your money back. Then wait and buy elsewhere.
Why do you need to talk to ebay? They're not into cosy chats. They would just tell you the same. Open an item not received claim. They have absolutely no ability to twist the seller's arm and force him to post anything.
